a bot is indeed a **** tool is it not? a form of cheating is still cheating. that is all lol
Actually, a botting tool could be as simple as a mouse moving program that moves your mouse and clicks things for you based on the color of the object, works "outside" the game, not messing with any files in the game. So technically, in this example it isn't a "hacking" tool (even though the program could contain key-loggers which could be sent back to the "hacker" but this would make it "your fault" and we wouldn't want that now would we?)

Know a lot about bots Krisnda? How do we know you don't use them since you seem to assume a player you don't even know is cheating/stupid? b:chuckle

i say if PW wants ppl to play they need to make it safer for ppl to play. Would u want someone to **** ur acct an steal ur stuff u worked hard to get? If u can honestly say that u wouldnt want **** then u need to hold ur 2 cents for someone who cares. As Im in a great faction and this problem is persisting with some faction members, I feel if GMs cant keep it safe for us to play, then they will lose alot of ppl to this. So when u can say something right then dont say anything at all.

Because, unlike most people, I actually research things before making rash comments, for example:

you say "How do we know you don't use them", Which isn't true, I'm not going to bother saying any more on that, and
"you seem to assume a player you don't even know is cheating/stupid", when i have only mentioned the different ways that people can steal your account info. Assume? You're the one that "looks" like they are assuming things.

Didn't provide any links, just the general idea of "botting", which, to my understanding, isn't against the TOS. Also my posts are "on topic", thank you.

I am not being rash, I know exactly what the situation is.

You are relying on a general set of information to apply to a specific situation.

Actually, using someone elses account can be construed as Fraud, and our fraud and legal departments handle those issues decisively, and appropriately.

Please review our Terms of Service regarding how your account and the game service is provided to you.

No one at PWE is going to break the law and reveal trade secrets and IP data about how our services work, no matter how curious someone is.

Rest assured all departments do the best they can within the laws available to take care of all of our players.

    @xcrushx

We do not see a ticket with your email address for this account regarding your report. What number is it? Did you use a different email address?

Also @xcrushx, would you care to explain how your account has been playing for months from both the West and East Coasts of the USA, being accessed within the span of minutes back and forth? Seems like your friend may be messing with your account. Please note account sharing is against the terms of service. Please send in a ticket and explain your issues immediately.
Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

UMMMMMM if u give a generalization on how they work, then u know how they work and again once more HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM shall i say it again? i say if u know how they work that can work to ur advantage cant it. Id like to think so. So instead of digging urself deeper why dont u just scamper off an play ur lost server.

yes but the possibility is there that those who now know how some bots may work will go looking for them, and perhaps learn to use them. which also coincides with the time it is taking to resolve the issue in question which started this. maybe someone can think that since these issues can take days to be taken care of, that it's no big deal if they do use a cheat of some sort.

and ppl do get **** all the time, it's everywhere, no place on the internet is 100% safe plain and simple. trust is built by taking as many precautions as possible, by the consumers and business providers together. safety works in both diresctions, and effects both directions business and consumers alike. concerns arise when 1 party involved has a problem, that problem grows into bigger issues as the frustration builds over the period of days while waiting to find out what is gonna happen.

and as a direct result also, the attitudes by the business also have a direct result on the satisfaction of the problem solving if and/or when the issue does or doesnt get resolved.

I looked up xcrusherx's account and ticket, and asked them legitimate questions that are valid to the state of them being able to continue to play based on how they replied to Customer Support.

@Shazaama, there is no reason to be upset.

"IP hiders", or using a proxy is also against the terms of service and if confirmed, accounts can be banned.

i know how upset he is, he had great gears i know i manufactured them myself, i did the runs with him. i hear how upset he is on our faction vent. i also know if his equipment is not returned, chances are it can not ever be replaced, due to the glitch that has greatly overpowered the TT bosses. do you have any idea how upsetting it is to be faced with the potential loss of 2 years worth of time and money invested? he needs answers asap. i understand the investigation process. i believe such things deserve full attention. but i also know that the person involved needs to be kept in the loop, and reassured everything humanly possible is being done to help them. i also know that he and i both have remained logged in since this issue happened, him in an effort to protect what might be left but cant access, and me to keep watch when or if squad gets dropped in case his account gets forced logged. it is very frustrating for all of us, we can not do anything, we are powerless, and the last thing any of us need is to be blamed for something not proven. in situations as this we need resolutions and communication. and yes if it were you effected i'm sure you would appreciate as speedy a resolution as possible, and for those involved in helping you, to be of an understanding nature for the obvious and legtimate frustration involved.

I find it hilarious how the consumers are always to blame, yet you say you have safeguards built into the game. Then explain to me how and why , with my main character alone they have all failed. 12 times in a row i have dropped items and gear , while safety locks are on and the equipment was BOUND, and the last time i had guardian charms. You guys NEVER admit an error except to blame the consumer, when all it takes is one line of programming code poorly written to cause multiple issues. admit it no one is perfect, including gm's and programmers but rather than trying to resolve the issues and make things right you would rather play the blame game. Just fix the issues. players would be happier and youd have less tickets and complaints to deal with.

actually there is every reason to be upset. you are trying your very best to lay blame in the wrong places. feeling the need to ban someone? perhaps the one who was ****? or how about me? go on do it idc.
but your blame game needs to stop, all your doing is making alot more ppl alot more upset then needs to be. i'm sure no one wants this turning into a PR nightmare which it is quickly becoming. so why not back off get off the judegemental high horse and treat the person involved how you'd like to be treated if it were you.

All reports of compromised accounts must send in a ticket to customer support. We can not discuss them in depth on the forums, period.

Customer Support will handle the report and help the player.

We can complain about the timing all we want, but it doesn't make the ticket go through any faster.

Please note all forms of harassment of any player or PWE Staff, Admin, Mod are terms for being banned.

I get the sneaking vibe that all of you are in the same guild, and some of you probably back stabbed each other when sharing accounts and don't want to tell anyone about it.

Send in the tickets, spare the cheese, sip the whine.
