Sage or Demon?

What if you played multiple classes and have different cultis on them?

IE: Sage on veno for the soul degen, fox form, melee mastery, and higher mag bonus on spark to compensate for lower base m.atk as heavy/robe while Demon on archer for... well... fairly obvious reasons as an archer.


Also, I like chillin with Jezus while drownin' puppies, yo.

__I'm a cleric and I picked Demon. I had a really rough time with my decision because I felt that I had to be a Sage to fulfill my full healing potential and adequately support my squads. Some people around me told me as much. However, the channel-reducing spark, debuffing thunder, faster revives, and mana-recovering heal lured me over. And I loved the pumpkin fairy. I have never regretted my decision. I actually have 14 demon skills, and I can speak from experience that they totally suit my play style. My attacks land faster and harder. The 2% critical bonus is actually significant too. Tempest freezes enemies for laughs. As for healing - my squads have never complained. Before they tinkered with TT I had no problem duoing 3-2 and most of 3-3 with my husband. And the mana regeneration and +100% defense effects have gotten me lots of props! Honestly, the Sage and Demon advantages are quite balanced for Clerics. I think if I weren't a pure magic build I would have picked Sage. The healing bonuses would have been more essential and the defense blessing from the spark might actually be worthwhile if I had survivability to begin with. No matter what you say - Demons do get the cooler fairy though! ('-')

I voted for demon, even I got only one Char to 89+.

I took Demon on my wizard, just because of the first Skills to get (Pyrogram, Gush & Stone Rain) and the cute Demon on my shoulder
Later I thought of things like the Stone Barrier and such...

My Barb will become Demon, because of True Form (oh, and that cute Demon, of course). No Damage Reduction in Tiger Form will surely rock.

My Veno will become Demon, only thing to say: Demon Bramble
My Cleric will be Demon too, because of the Damage increase in skills.

Only planned Sage is the Psy... maybe bacause I want some change *cough*

Sage here for a few main reasons:

-Chi charging skill.

-Stronger IH. Personally I think it's not THAT much of a pro since a lvl10 or demon IH will do the job just fine aswell, but it's always nice.

-Constant -20% channeling from magic shell. With about -20 channeling of your own from gear it will make most spells near insta-cast (or way more than you'd expect from -40% channeling anyway). Haven't been able to get it yet though.

-The white fairy looks more pro. I'm just sayin'

Sage wizard.

Both cultivations are good, both have uses in PvP. Thanks to few skills though, sage wizzie is more efficient in PvE, and since I don't spend cash I spend quite a bit of time PvEing.

pvp maybe, thats why you make sage wiz... for your ulti's. for pve... better channeling result in better dps

my archer went demon, assassin went demon, veno went sage. prepare for wall of text:

my opinions on what each class should go:
cleric: pretty balanced between support and pvp should you wanna do either

archer: demon, purely based on the fact it gives more crit, aps, and never missing/better support moves

wizard: demon, almost all its best moves hit harder, or have -chan, better stone barrier, etc. dont get why people do 'omg sage ice dragon /sage" the only argument you'll ever get on wiz forums is 'imagine what i can do with chi/pots hurrdurr.' most wiz moves suck, like the ones the decrease def... undine? hello?

veno: if arcane, i prefer sage: better spark, (i could near perma spark with master li's and venomous) soul degen, fox form, so much more chi, ironwood etc.
demon for LA/HA to make up for lack of casting power, they need that small debuff from venomous and extra crit.

barbarian: demon, better tanking skills: lower flesh ream cool, full tiger damage, alpha male like roar, etc. and the crit is insane if you ever wanted to pvp. sage? tiny bit more def and hp? hows that helpful.

blademaster: demon; better stuns, more crit, better marrows, better axe aoes, better HF, 5.0 aps. sage bm is so inferior. demon bm screams I AM BM HEAR MY ROAR... it never misses

psychic: i havent really researched this one, but general consensus says sage

assassin: demon, same reason as archer, thats what assassins do, no need to go otherwise.

Archer - Demon
Reasons: Sharptooth Arrow, Lightning Strike, Thunder Shock, Quickshot, Aim Low, Stunning Arrow, Winged Shell, Wingspan, Wings of Protection, Winged Blessing, Bow Mastery

And yes, even Vicious Arrow. Why? Because it's nice to know that I have a healing skill as well. [Even though 200 HP is next to nothing at my level b:cry]

I was Sage on my cleric a year and a half ago...and I was never into the whole 'full attack cleric' thing everybody else was doing at the time. I always found the Sage culti quest to be easier than the demon one-- (I've only done it once on my barb, and I've hated it since).

That....and everybody knows Sage Psychics get to chill with Jesus. (The AoE purify was also a gimme...)

i spam plume, cyclone, and occasionally use wield thunder! i own wizards so hardcore! kinda glad the fad is over, clerics need to do what theyre made to do and heal, not shoot plumeshots.

Frankly i wont be a sage or demon for a while but id have to choose demon for barb because of the no damage reduction on tiger form, super powerful armaggedon and the extra crit bonuses from all the skills. Also the 300% accuracy increase from blood bath would be amazing in pvp.

Sage wizard, cause of the chi gaining abilities, shorter cast time on stone rain, and eventually BIDs, and extra damage with masteries.

Im Demon on my BM due to the spark..and i like red.

Im a Sage on my barb cause i already had a demon dd'er and the sage speed for barb+hp boost in tiger form(i have speed gear on as well since i like to farm and run at 10.0..saves money no need for a mount)

This archer ill go demon.

My wiz ill prob go demon as well.(toss up cause i dont play stank wiz no more)

MY cleric prob another sage.
