Just wondering why the order seems 4 red 3 green 3 purple and the one in orange/yellow never gets touched. Would be nice to know the reason^^ any ideas?

Each one of the mobs that survives the whole time increases the boss'es hp a little bit overall, people choose in the order they do if they lack the DD's to take out the harder ones.

The number of minions you kill will determine the strength of the boss (as someone stated earlier). If you kill 10 minions (which is what most <90 FC squads do), the boss will appear in the Tough form, which is like a normal mode. If you miss a couple, he appears in Frenzied mode, which basically means he debuffs a ****load faster and has more hp. If you kill 17 or more minions, the boss appears in Weakened form, which makes him slower while debuffing and have less hp. Generally, squads aim to kill 10 until around 90 or so. Even with RB, there wouldn't be enough DPS to kill 2 mobs at the same time for a squad with no demon/sage DPS. So until 90 or so, you won't be seeing many squads which kill the 17 minions to weaken the boss.

If you ever want to kill all the mobs tell your cleric not to rb and help dd, the rb overbuffs spark and other useful buffs making it a dps loss. It's also possible to use the boss go gain chi on even tho he wont take damage yet you can still attack him for chi. 3 tt90 geared people at each side make short work of even the harder adds if extreme poison and sparks are properly timed.

It usually works good, if the cleric rbs only the right side and two DDs with demon spark (or one demon spark DD + Veno/BM for debuffs) take left. You can get a weakened boss pretty easy with a 90+ squad that way.
