The greatest danger for most of us
is not that our aim is too high
    and we miss it
but that it's too low and
    we reach it.

Yes, you can. Just grind/do your quests/set up catshops and you will see that you can actually be pretty rich without paying a single $. Once you are rich you can buy a good gear and hopefully even a herc one day. Good luck and have fun!

Yea, you can. Venomancers are easy to PvE regardless of pet. I had a crystalline magmite until lvl87 or so, and I never had problems. Glacial walker is another option for a good pet that you can raise from low levels. There's even pet scrolls you can get to teach your pet.

someone pls correct me if I'm wrong, but roughly speaking, you can often buy SoF @ 5k ea? Since you need 9999 of them it would be:

    9999 x 5000 = 49 995 000 in game coins. b:shocked

    pretty sure thats right

so yea, better start savin :)

Unless you wait for the battle pet pack sale you are more likely to pay ~6,500-7,000 coins / SoF (Dreamweaver server) so it's more likely to end up costing you around 65-70mil if you only buy for coins.

The price of SoF and Feathers depends on the server. On Lost City it's probably about 7-8k right now after the last battle pack sale. Yea, it gets pretty expensive but there are definitely alternatives: 1) Buying herc skills and putting them on your glacial walker or crystalline magmite or 2) Farm money and buy the packs when the next battle pack sale occurs.

I believe it's around 70-80 mil of coins in DW server at the moment. From what I recall, from packs, you'll average about $200 USD?

It averages $186.50. Since the packs are random, you can end up paying less or more than that. $160-$200 is pretty much the range I hear others report. All 3 of mine ended up right around $185-$189.

The most common SoF/Nix price is 7k. So that makes 70m for a herc or a nix. But a herc is useless until 9x

I beg to differ. It's gained me some coin soloing bh 39 and 59 when I stayed level 59 and 79 for a while.

it cost me roughly ~$135 for my herc

2 50 dollar purchases during the "bonus zen" weekend, so that was 12100 zen, plus 5300 for the last 50 dollar purchase, which i used $34.50 to finally get enough SoF. BUT, note that i spent 8 mil on 1k SoF beforehand.

but i was unlucky with the packs, averaging roughly 27 per box. guides usually say 36ish per box, so i could have gotten it cheaper.

if you do get one, feeding it to max is easy! just spend 1 coin (or 75 silver right now apparently) on a coral pack. 99% of the time you'll get 15 tokens of luck. if you get anything else then you're lucky ^^

take those 15 tokens and use 9 of them to buy 25 perfect cookies at the PW boutique agent, which hercs can eat and gain 200 loyalty per cookie.

on raging tide SoF/Nix price ranges around 8k ea, with people wanting to sell for ~8.7+ and people buying for ~7k-.
