1. For mods: This topic is here to dicuss the question of why people who played PWI for a long time now will give up what they worked for (in PWI) and move to another game, that happened to be origend from the same compeny that runs pwi(meaning regurding the experience with the compeny while playing PWI).

2. For all other: please try to avoind mod-rage , theres plenty of topics for that but this question is importent and if will be talked about in public might effect all of us by healping old friends/emenys stay or with use picking the better game.


So, PWI is apperently about to loose alot of players to this new game comming out soon (wont be named...) The way i see it for the moment, this new game is VERY similar to our PWI, It might have some races we dont have' but we got some he dont. It probebly will look better , mainlycuz he is newer, but The interface is VERY similar and the 3D in PWI is generaly good for an online game. Beside that it is about the same idia, you lvlup with some quests , grindng, join a guild, do instances and kill worldbosses, it even got the same operator.

Still, I know quite a few people, who used alot of resources (time and money) to build up on PWI and want to give it all up to start it all again in a this other game. How come? Am i missing something?

    Honestly, my very first character was deleted (Out of sheer "I didn't read the little cleric guide we had when I started the game and put points in every stat") I didn't wanna use a restat scroll. She was deleted. After trying out various other classes, I settled on Archer, who was leveled up to 89. I grew tired of FCs for leveling up and getting spirit, and doing a crapload of quests to get rep and coins. I couldn't really charge gold after Niightmare hit 78ish, and it took a her awhile to actually hit 89 so my coin to level ratio was very bad, since DQ prices dropped, leaving me with nothing really to make coins off of ingame (I cannot "play" the market, and TT run for money as a DD doesn't really work). My skills could no longer be leveled up and I couldn't afford any demoun skills.. let alone learn them. I decided to give all my gear away and changed servers for about 3 days, then quit for good. The game is too boring and broken.

    We've already proved what needed proving, even if we had to go roundabouts for it. Zan posted that pron thread I believe, for the sheer laugh it would get, and having no GM or mod close it/delete it for 3 hours was kinda icing on the cake to link back to proving points.

    Before I actually listen to Shelly cuz I'm too lazy to fight her, I gotta say that there are timezones, and night for us can be day for someone else. They need to think of that when choosing mods and GMs . That way, there will be atleast one person on at all times.

    In most cases its because people get bored with a game regardless of how much time they have invested.

    Ignoring all the rants on here atm, i would guess those you know arnt doing so because of the state of the game. To try another game by the same people who made the game your playing must show they are in genraly happy with how the game went.

    I personaly wouldnt toutch it with a bargepole but thats my choice because i wasnt happy with how the game developed.

    PWI was awesome when it was first released. **** it for a year straight with cash shop sales and packs day in and day out pretty much killed it. To top it off, they killed TT and TW recently as well, which were basically the only fun endgame things which were left to do in game. As a result, people are mass quitting daily and the game is (becoming) stale.

    FW will undoubtedly be awesome at first as well. People want something new and fresh, and FW is here to deliver.

    Personally though, I wouldn't touch anything under PWE's flag with a 10 foot pole ever again. They're sure to **** FW the exact same way they did with PWI.

    Heck, I may give it a shot if enough of my old PW friends decide to roll a toon there. One thing is for sure though, I won't be spending a dime on it.

    Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice... not happening.

    PWI looks a bit of a test bed when looking at the other title. The devs have more experience themselves now, they know roughly that they can either speed up or slow down the rate of decay in the next title. Should that read 'decay' or 'income'? You decide... press your buttons now!

    Maybe, but mods do not go to an "office", as I believe, Grim lives in a whole different country from US. His timezone HAS to be different. I'm not saying to give up actual work/school to mod these forums, but they should make sure to have atleast 1 person on during the forum's busiest hours (Afternoon/Nighttime for US timezones mainly).

    With all the unheapyness with the recent changes, I really think its not that bad. The TW and nirvana changes made the gearing more of a chalange and the TW, well i had to wake up very early for TWs, now i dont and theres still room for pvp on Worldbosses, MQ, Westgate , Lately is saw the lowerlvls Pvping in SP, thats nice :). Before I played PWI i played another game, that game was under massive hackers attack and due to that it allmost died,However few days ago i checked out its site and amazinglt its still very active and lifefull (this game should be.. very old by now) so dont give up that fast.

    And about moving to FW, If you forsee that it will go the same way as PWI after sometime, and you dont like the way than how come you concider it afterall?

    I would have loved to see them as mods, they are respected by the whole community, even if some people disagree with them. WaffleChan would be amazing mod with the weird *** posts he brings us, Reds would bring the logic and Hamsta... well you can NEVER hate hamsta. He is just too cute.

    I don't know why I'm explaining things to an idiot hiding on an alt char but meh.
    Spent my nub levels the first few weeks in 7Sins which pretty much merged into Legendary (aside from few casual players that were 30-50 levels below us). Stuck with LG through thick and thin with various guild leaders for a year and half until a certain person assumed leadership which caused the majority of core LG members and a lot of my original friends to leave LG for Nef, which I ended up joining after coming back to the game after a few months I took off.

    So.. 2 guilds in 2 years. I'm still on good terms with just about everyone from 7sins (which were the first people I ever met ingame 2 years ago), Legendary (apart from the current leadership) and Nefarious. So yeah, we left one guild after a year and a half for another one. Whoop dee doo. Where exactly is this jumping back and forth you speak of?

    But back on topic: fail mods, fail pwi yadda yadda.

    No. It would have been a challenge if it were like that from day one and everyone was on equal ground. What happened here is you have people that farmed their TT99 gear easily and managed to do profit runs in order to pimp their sets out. And then you have people who don't have their gear yet, that are forced to run countless lower level TTs for money in order to get their sets (because they're unable to get into squads which run endgame TTs). That's not a challenge. Thats being forced to work minimum wage in 2-2/2-3 for months in order to be able to afford what people got in a week running 3-2/3-3.
    Or they can charge zen. Hint, hint.

    Like I said, the only reason would be if enough of my PWI friends wanted to play it. I have no doubt we'll have fun together for a few months at least. I just won't be making the same mistake of charging hundreds of dollars of zen only to have PWE spit in my face after a year, which is what it felt like when they decided to release packs which allowed level 30 noobs to open a pack and score more money than everyone that actually FARMED their gear for year.

    I haven't even finished Zelda... that new one XD for DS, i can't think of the name. With the boat, I didn't finish that, it's too hard QQ I can't play the flute dammit!

    yes, because 97 is totally the level of usual alts; which usually are level 1 and have 1-10 posts. intended sarcasm aside. it is well known fact any time there is drama, the oldest leg members changed between the two guilds like underwear. there was no such thing as loyalty in leg, just people who went to whoever could pay more.

    irregardless, it appears some people cant take a simple joke, and get offended at the slightest hint of one. boohoo.

    I have a level 97 veno alt and a level 80 something archer alt. A lot of people have several level 100 alts. You took a personal jab at me, so I assumed you knew me.

    And for the record, the oldest LG members you speak of quit the game a long, long time ago. Those that didn't (myself included) watched the guild rise, fall, rise and fall again, while spending millions of coin weekly to fund their charms and apothecary items for nearly 18 months. "TW pay" as you call it covered but fraction of it. In the golden days of when each faction owned half the map, it was about breaking even cost wise. For the last 6 months it was a loss after a loss until LG lost the final land. And surprise, "the oldest LG members" were still in LG at the time.

    because having prominence in an online pixel world REALLY matters, correct? it was common fact that people, even tight members like ayano, would leave for nef or regi depending on what new drama went down. and get invited right back in, despite the stupid voting policy, due to LGs screwed up cliques dividing and running everything.

    tw pay breaking even my ***. according to some officers, they got paid ridiculous amounts compared to your cannon fodder. the pay system in leg was stupid, and tons of people complained about it, it was obvious they were going to go to people paying more. then there were even bigger jack offs like gooseyness.... wow lets cash shop our gear to beyond ridiculousness, and still complain about not being paid!

    then there were the number of world chat spams about how your members would steal molds during that 'tabber gets loot' craze that went on for a while. but thats a different story for another time.

    fact of matter, LG = drama ******, clique following drama ******, who changed guilds like wet panties and were allowed back in whenever.

    Will I look at it? sure,


    but doubt ill throw away all the work I have done here just to play a game that has the same questing ideas, the same UI features, and the same company.

    The few sneak previews I have seen, it would be a step down from PW.
