The sin be pretty dim and attempting to make excuses to explain why he lost.
(It be impossible to kite a decent sin who has half a brain since they has two teleport skills both of which pretty much outrange *and one that also stuns you at the same time* you be available to them later.)darthpanda16: Firefox crashed on me. If you can kite a sin... then you most likely also possess the power to divide by zero. b:shocked
(Or.. the sin was a total idiot. I'd put my money on the latter, considering everyone and their mother can hit 90 in a month without learning their class these days .)0 -
I saw a sin QQing in city of lost yesterday at a Veno who was kiting him all over during a duel.
I was like, "what you expect them to just stand there while you smack the **** out of them?"
If you are a ranged class the best option with melees is to get some RANGE, especially true for archers due to close combat attack reduction, but also for arcanes due to extreme squishieness.
As above tho once they get their stun the best you can hope for is to survive the first assault and crit their ***[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
There is no place in a perfect world for double entendre!0 -
some of you guys need to learn to look at lvls before you make some of your posts.
yeah its hard to kite a sin when its in a higher lvl bracket, in the 30's like OP is the sin only has one teleporting ability which at lvl 1 has a 16m range with no stun and it costs chi so its fairly easy to kite low lvl sins in a duel
being kited in low lvls was very annoying but no reason to QQ, if your vsing a caster or archer i always expected to be kited and ran up as close as i could when the timer count down.0 -

That's like saying it's cheating when a cleric heals herself in a duel.
Use all the "skills" you have. As an archer you have to be "skilled" in kiting, so kite my friend, kite.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

No, archers are not allowed to kite!
You do half damage up close but everyone knows that you are not supposed to move to a position where you can do full damage. Archers are supposed to stand there and tank.
Shooting back also constitutes cheating.0 -

Yes... for my joke to work, people would need to instantly realize how awful those rules were.
Sadly, though, those rules are almost typical of how some people really think.0 -

It drives me nuts how people call a sin's stealth "cheating" as well. It's not; cheating means breaking the rules. In order to cheat, kiting or using stealth would have to be an action allowed only by a ****.
Stealth is a sin's specialty, kiting is an archer's specialty. Those people need to QQ more and get over it.

In my opinion, pots and genies are the only things that shouldn't be allowed by default. People QQ too much about using Diamond Sutra, stealth, stun immunity (yes, even that), jump evading, cleric heals etc.100% F2P player. Started PW: March 2007, Quit PW: March 2011.

Personally, I do not see any reason for genies and potions to be disallowed -- if the game designers had meant for them to not be used in duels, then they would disable them in duels.
However, if an assassin goes stealth on me and I am not allowed to use a potion or a genie to recover, while I am waiting, I suppose I can go teleport some place else or something. (And note that teleport requires neither potions nor genies.)0 -
by default charms are not allowed - they are deactivated in duels, pots should be allowed, but LOL - a normal wizzie or cleric or w.e can 1 hit easily unbuffed even buffed archer, gl using pots >.>0
-
yeah ok sins hit n run, archers kite, even in some duels with higher lvs they make excuses that they miss the 1st hit or anything so I duel them again and I still win it's all about the skills you use and how to use them if they aren't good at it, don't even bother with anything they say.0

i agree with this, if pots cant be used, then at least a sin cant just stand there waiting in stealth for our shell and anti stun to end before coming out of stealth, if they wait too much, they wont be able to use skills, imo that make things a bit fair for duels0 -
Ignathas - Sanctuary wrote: »by default charms are not allowed - they are deactivated in duels, pots should be allowed, but LOL - a normal wizzie or cleric or w.e can 1 hit easily unbuffed even buffed archer, gl using pots >.>
Exactly!
Using potions should be no big deal, if you are fighting someone like that.
But if an assassin is going to go into stealth, in a duel, and then wait for our short term buffs to fall, our potions and genies mean that they are going to have to fight us with our full health (or however much we can get back, even crab meat starts being not much when you get good gear and high levels and level 11 barbarian buff), instead of "beating" us because they slowly whittled down our health over a long period of time.0 -

As soon as dual says 2 Use Wings of Grace then Shield, Lightning Strike > Winged Pledge > Ur AOE version of winged pledge, Lightning Strike...Repeat if needed.. Wings of Grace will stop there stun plus 30% dmg reduction and the other skills do max dmg at close range. No kiting needed. stealth > wait 15 seconds > spark in stealth > tackling slash > normal attack till dead. problem solved (WoG is 59 skill i can even twin spark by then lol)0 -
If you are going to insist on dueling sins (and remember, you can not tell if an assassin is using genie skills, or potions, when they are stealthed):
Get a veno buff
Use elven alacrity right before the countdown ends.
Use deadly shot after their deaden nerves kicks in (perhaps preceded by stunning arrow if you feel you need it).
You might also consider stormrage eagelon, if they are inclined to be stealthing. b:chuckle
Use wings of grace before your anti-stun wears off.
If they stealth long enough that you go out of combat (or if they stealth before you land your first attack), relog to end the duel in a draw and go to the center of archosaur to rebuild your chi.0 -
