A little help here plz and ty... bring in the pros

Hey fellow wizzies,

So i would just like to start by saying i quit game for an extended period of time and recently started playing again at the beginning of this month. I have been playing this account on Harshlands server since the day Harshlands was released. Pretty much, when i left, the virtual world of PWI as everyone knows it now was non - existant. Packs had just been introduced sins and psychics were battling through the 4x's (except the ones that were able to afford oracles.. again due to packs) and wizards that were godlike were few and rare.

Since coming back i have relized exactly how much PW has changed... Sins and Psy's now 101 - 102 along with other classes, everyone has access to OP gears, PvP has done a complete 180 in terms of participation (as everyone is now always in one instance or another) and even the method of PvP has changed.. getting used to everything has been a bit difficult but i have been keeping up by going back in the forus and reading and also been out PvP'n alot to gain new skill and knowledge.

Ok so that being said brings me to the point of my post... I just wnt some of the pro wizards so have a look at my gear and such tell me if its ok for my lvl, maybe give me some suggestions as far as what i can do to improve it. As well, as maybe give me an example of your favorite class to PvP against and how you deal with them.

    gear seems pretty decent for 9x. Don't really get the HH90 boots/gloves, as both suck ballz.. but other than that its fine. I'd suggest refining your cape up a bit, as you get more hp/refine from your cape than anything else. Other than that, I'd recommend just buying some hypers and getting to 10x in a week or two. lvl 11 ultis are awesomesauce.

    edit: oh and get 4th map for a decent belt xD

    get hh90 gold sleeves/OHT sleeves with nice adds (think 94 pdef x3, 94 pdef x2 and -6% chan etc...)

    For boots, using hh80 gold and making it 4 sockets and immac citrines +5 adds a nice chunk of HP since your pdef isnt too bad.

    If you like channeling, your FC ring is fine but if you are going the crit route, get the teacher ring.

    3 socket your pants and add another immac garnet. +5 them. I still use mine and wont switch them out until nirvana.

    My favorite class to pvp against is psychic because its +1 kill
    Second favorite is probably a barb, they are always a fun fight until a gush crit pops up.

    Archers, Venos, Barbs, Wizards, BMs, Mystics, Seekers are Paper.
    ...and Clerics are Mushrooms.
    Paper beats Rock. Scissors beats Paper. Scissors also happens to beat Rock...until Rock gets 50k+ soulforce at which point Rock becomes an unstoppable killing machine that beats Paper... and would beat Scissors but it can't find Scissors, because Scissors are invisible.
    So Scissors beat Paper and avoids Rock, and that is called BALANCE. -cheze

    The sleeves I use right now are hp +105, pdef +94, -6 channeling 2soc (missing earth res tho >.>). Relatively difficult to find, but they are out there :P

    I've personally made two pairs of pdef +94 x3 2 sockets all resists (yes exactly the same pair). Just keep in mind that pdef is a fairly common mod (over 7% chance), while hp is far less (little under 2% chance) and -6channeling is like .26% chance.. so you'd be more likely to find a pdef +94x3 than any other combination of useful stats.

    Nah, not dumb just because they don't know better. And as I said, alot of people want the 99 set, expecially now with Nirvana becoming more available. Lots of reasons to use it.     So you would prefer to buy more expensive boots with terrible stats and refine/shard them so you can eventually decompose them? You do that. I'll go ahead and buy/make some decent OHT boots and refine/shard them. When I'm good and ready I'll buy/farm HH90 boots to decompse and sell my OHT boots. Not only will by boots be good until I get 99/nirvana, but I'll still have the value of the refines/shards from my boots.

    Your gear is pretty solid.

    I will answer basically the same as Adroit, since he was the one who gave me the advices on gear.

    I don't know why you sharded some of your gear with garnets, they are worthless. Get Immaculate (G8) Citrines.

    You just need some more refines.

    You can get OHT wrists and boots, they are amazing. I used OHT boots (3x 94 p.def) till I hit 99 and got myself HH99 Boots.

    Wrists, find OHT ones, mine are (94 p.def, 2x +105 HP.) they are floating around, try to keep an eye on them, I still use them cuz I'm one of the lowest HP Mages in my guild (5.3k HP).

    Get the 4th Map Belt as Adroit suggested, it's amazing.

    Your HP really isn't that great, and you have 32 vit. Work on that.

    If you can get another CV ring that would boost your p.def, from your gear I can assume you can get it.

    You get 4 tears of heaven for doing the 5 min OHT daily per day. The lumistone/sculptures are ridiculously cheap, or if you've ever done a GV or any HH.. you should have these stockpiled already. Every 5 days you can make 4 pairs of boots, assuming you don't buy any tears from all the other players. Don't tell me they weren't available. LULZ

    Don't know exactly what to tell you pvp wise, I don't know much about other servers :P On lost city though, its basically dead.. its just ganking. Nobody seems to leave sz unless they outgear + outnumber whoever they are fighting.. kinda kills it. Every once in a while some decent pvp will pop up however.

    You have 0 chance against a good sin, most sins will make a mistake which will give you a chance to fight back, but there isn't any set way to kill a sin.. GL. Most other pvp is relatively the same, although gear is obviously better now and you really need to watch out for interval chars.. they catch you for more than about 1 second and you are dead. You're gonna need some genie skills focused on just them, expel/fortify for example really help against bms that occult/**** you in about 1 second. You'll probably just need to go out there and try some things, can't really describe my pvp experiences with words, you'll probably just need to go try for a bit and see how it goes.

    A question of your intent comes up to evaluate the gears. Do you plan on getting full TT99 and sharding with Diamond of Tigers so you can hit like a banshee then fall over? Do you prefer to do 1v1 pvp where some more balance comes into play? Your very close to 99\100 so it might just be simpler to look at where you plan to go.
    Generally getting your second event ring should be a goal for you, then probably the belt of thundershock from your OHT quests for a large chunk of phys def.
    How much coin\cash are you really looking at putting into the character? Are we looking for cost\benefit or just aiming for the moon?

    Favorite class to PvP against : Psychic's + Assassins.

    Both present some very interesting fights.
    Usually the sin one is very straight forward though, they jack you, you abs domain then gush, then FoW, then a heavier spell. It gets really interesting when thier deaden nerves goes off and you've got to get creative for the next hit.
    The Psy, your shopping for 1hko here, if you've got time, put on glacial barrier for defense and all magic gear, no phys def ornaments for this one. Keep in mind that if your stunning or simliar with MS, it might just be coming back to haunt you.

    not impossible, but any class with a physical atk will destroy you if you get caught with your mdef ornaments on (so anything besides a psy). Keep in mind you cant switch gear while slept/stunned..

    Getting one set of good ornaments is WAY better than 2 sets of ok ornaments.. for pvp anyway.

    Why Glacial Embrace against psys? Just because of their lvl79 skill? Earth Vector and most of their stronger attacks are earth attacks...

    In terms of damage yes, but think of a bigger picture. Earth Vector will most probably be their opener, which means you will for sure endure an initial earth attack (unless you seal them first then drop them).

    And if we are talking about lvl100 psys with lvl100 skills, both of their lvl100 skills are really heavy earth nukes. Not to mention Spirit Blast > Aqua Impact as the spammable skills.

    ijs no real point since it would require changing your shield anyway, an extra problem and not much difference overall.

    Personally, I like having a decent physical defense when I fight psychics.

    Usually, most of the damage they land on me will be reflected damage, and that is all physical. And, if I really must tank a nuke from a psychic, elemental shell can help?
