As the title says, do not flame this thread to a pile of ashes wich will be locked away in a box somewhere. This thread is to collect complaints from the players over the new mods, as well as possible solutions people have (besides removing the new mods). I am in no way trying to defend the company, but nor am I siding with the player-base.
This is merely to collect all the complaints in an organized manner, as well as discuss the new mods (without the flaming part). The reason for this, is that the community seems to have gone into a crazed state, in which its stacking flame upon flame. Have there been those who made attempts to file complaints? Yes. However due to the flame that ensued on the thread, it was most likely locked.
Should people feel it necessary to flame this thread to death, then I will feel no sympathy for them.
I will edit in complaints that show up a number of times below. (And did I mention? PLEASE NO FLAMING IN THIS THREAD.)
Complaints about Devs/Mods/GMs:
1) Closure of threads without due explanation.
2) Overall dislike of new moderators due to lack of reason behind instatement.
a) Lack of communication from new Mods.
3) Lack of communication from the GMs to the players
a) Promised compensation for DQ price drop.
b) Complaint threads set-up with no response from GMs or Mods at the end of them.
c) Minimal to no explanations given for huge changes made to the game.
d) Perceived dishonesty.
4) Spontaneous increase of rule enforcement, without warning nor buffer period.
Bugs which people want fixed:
1) The ever old cleric magic defense buff which can not be cast over itself like all other cleric buffs.
2) Skill descriptions are incorrect.
3) Rubberband glitch.
Complaints overall:
1) Too many sales causing a weak economy.
2) Lose of trust in game developers due to number 1.
3) TW change.
4) Implementation of Jones Blessing.
5) Players whom charge large amounts of zen are favored/inexperienced in-game.
a) People who leveled too fast to learn their class fully.
b) Packs/corals/whatever you wish to call them.
6) Time limit on instances.

"We don't like the new mods"
and
"We do not like being called cheaters by an admin, when we ask for clarification on the rule"
Those two seem to be the most common complaints on the forums.Ah, Mistakes are so easily made. ~ laura resnick

Turning this post into an accumulation for potential solutions:
Solutions for complaints aimed at Devs/Mods/GMs:
1) Make locked & stickied threads in which you give updates whenever possible on major issues.
a) Changes to game.
Solutions for complaints about glitches:
1) Make locked & stickied threads in which you give updates on progress of major glitch fixes.
Solutions for overall gameplay complaints:
1) Implement a level restriction on hypers.
2) Increase level requisite for oracles and/or decrease exp given and/or remove them all together."No matter how dark the world is,
light shall exist somewhere,
even if only a small sliver,
a light found among darkness,

A good moderator should:
- Have the computer skills necessary to handle forum-related tasks (Web skills, basic programming)
- Be patient to handle all sorts of requests
- Be level-headed to keep discussions and some petty squabbles in check.b:cool0 -

Logic and common sense. With a little bit of diplomacy. Always makes the best troll bait. Also @SmellsFishy yes I did read the thread. I've been refeshing it and reading every post so I can update my first post as fast as possible."No matter how dark the world is,

I am keeping track of complaints, so feel free to post. Complaints which I have seen all over forums that get posted in here, as well as new ones that show up multiple times, will be edited into my post on the first page."No matter how dark the world is,

I don't have much faith in the longevity of this thread but I'll post anyways because things are being locked left and right.
It's not so much the issue of the mods as it is the lack of communication. This has been going on for quite some time now, and I'd say the dam finally burst. Some of this results from lack of understanding how a company works; some of the concerns are legitimate.
People started getting angry when:
-the whole spoons thing [not I DO NOT want to discuss this, and it's one of the stupider reasons as they can't disclose personal info about people without consent, but people are still mad that nothing was said]
-anniversary packs were said to be put in for a month, then put in again...and again...and again...and more packs, without ANY indication when it would stop or any indication that complaints were heard.
Then the era of stickied complaint threads that gather thousands of posts but nothing comes of it. Not even a "we can't do anything about the issue because the devs in china won't listen to us"
-recent changes to the game, DQ prices never got the promised "fix", gold prices never got the promised "fix", the only thing they say is "give us more time".
-new mods: people were mad about Konari being reinstated first off because he left WITHOUT WARNING. No notification, no anything. I'm sure if they said something like "he will be back later" or "he is stepping down" it would be fine, but there is no explanation until people get very angry.
-mods locking things left and right: some, not all things were mistakes, but they got a little too lock happy. And overall gave the sense that sometimes the rules are enforced strictly, but sometimes not strictly at all.
For example, several people got bans for breaking forum rules such as circumvention of filter, profanity, etc. Now this is fine, it's in the rules, but the problem is that in the past it hasn't been as enforced. So all of the sudden they get harsh on people and the community goes crazy because it is agaain a change in policy that was unannounced.
BEfore this turns into too much of a wall I hope the trend is clear. No one is talking honestly. I don't know if they are not allowed to or what, but even if they were not allowed to, they should at least say, "we are unable to disagree wtih any policies stated to us by our higher ups, so we can't discuss that here". That at least would be more honest.
No one knows where their complains go, or how issues are resolved. And when people feel voiceless, they will yell louder and louder.
And I don't really feel bad about the immaturity or the raging that's been going on, even if I won't do it myself, but I hope it serves its intended purpose: to get the message across. We want to feel like people are listening to us. If it doesn't get the message across, I dunno what will.0 -

This game is waay too biased towards defense, there's even +2 def shards but no +2 attack shards, full nirvana gives you a lot more def than atk level, charms are 100% defensive, there's no offensive "guardian charms" (and is the main problem since if you can't kill something in 10 secs, which is really hard as a wiz normally without debuffs/crits, you should just give up), not to mention the 'def' charms made from chi stones at apoth are way better than offense ones. There's even invincibility skills!
Jones blessing = good thing.
I agree with the others though. :P0 -

Alright, I will humour the idea that we would actually be heard and taken seriously.
For me, it boils down to communication and honesty. I don't post much, but I've read over most of the discussion over recent changes. It would SEEM that there is no honesty about the REAL REASONS why changes are made. It would also SEEM that all those official discussion threads, which apart from oodles of QQ, spam and whatnot, also contained legitimate concerns/complaints/suggestions that would SEEM to have all been overlooked/ignored.
I hate pretences. Pretending to listen to us, pretending what we have to say matter, pretending we the players are their #1 priority.

Ok, here's a few: wrong skill descriptions, rubberbanding, a lot of high level ppl know nothing about their class as a result of fast leveling, exp and endgame gear in the cash shop = dying pve, 5 aps in pve made ranged classes useless, assassins.0 -

Seeming to lock certian posts but not others....
No definite answer on whats going on (just the flames of the accused).... Ok that came out awkwardly biblical
And not enough actual interaction from new said mods... (can fit into complaint 2) I want to see the mods actually open or answer in a thread with conversation and discussion. It got moved to an area in which only GMs and Mods can enter. We discovered the name once, but I can't remember what it is. The reason is to read the thread and decide who should be banned. The area is also to filter out spam, but I don't think that was teh case with his thread."No matter how dark the world is,

Well... me, I think that hyper exps should exist, but with lvl restrictions, I would say that only people from lvl 80 + should be allowed to use them, since I've heard that it's that the lvl from when it becomes really hard to lvl up, even with BHs and stuff. And hey, a game is made to have fun, so it makes no sense to make it extremely boring to lvl up!. And for sooo high lvls as 100+ I agree that it must be hard, so that it's reserved only for those who really want to achieve that far, but I heard many times that, even with hyper exp, it makes almost no difference, so the existence of hypers wouldn't change much on this part. But yah, I agree that using hyper exp when you're around lvl 50... lawlz, nah, it's not even fun.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
