A few questions

Here are some questions I have that I have either asked in another thread, done a search for already etc and cannot get or find an answer for. I am hoping someone can help me.
I hit a certain level and my genie can no longer use her skill, it says "Genie has low HP". How do I fix this?
How are some ways of distributing genie points?
Course, I had other questions regarding a few different topics, but when I try and post it, I forget them all. b:sad
Edit: I thought of another. hehe What are these "Pills" for? Fat something or other pill, pumpikin head pill etc?

a genie needs stamina and energy to cast skills. you regain energy slowly over time, which is much like MP. stamina on the other hand is like a battery that runs the genie. when either are fully consumed you cannot use skills; you cain solve this by decomposing armors for stones to recharge stamina, or wait for energy to recharge.
mag-i THINK is your energy recovery rate
vit- determines max energy
dex/str- both affect skill effects and durations depending on the skills description.
pills are just for a lol.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
advice to fledgling archers:

1. If your genie as low hp, the game must in fact say it's either energy(blue bar) or stamina(yellow bar). In case of stamina, feed your genie chi stone. If it's energy, then there are genie skill whose cost are pretty big, increase your genie vitality to increase it's energy(1 point = 1 extra energy).
2. Pretty much depend of the skill you got. Some benefit from bonus to strength or dexterity and sometime both. Some skill cost a bunch of energy to cast, so higher vit is needed. And then the magic stat is used for the energy regen(each point give you .02 energy/sec, so 50 magic for 2sec regen is pretty good). Once you have added about 40points into a stat, you will have to pay two to increase it by one again. So a zeal's magic, which start at 15, would max out at 55 before double paying.
3. ...cannot help you there. b:surrender0 -

I was under the impression stam was that gauge I am seeing on her gauge as full and was wondering why it wouldn't let me use her. So I misread it?0 -

If you can take a screenshot of it and post it here, that would help a lot to understand the problem and provide you a solution ^^Madness?

Ohhh, I see now. I just found the number "Stam 50/99999999"
So why do they say "HP too low" if they meant stam? That is confusing for a new player.0 -
localization error one could assume. look in vendors near watchers of earth for chi stones or take junk armor to tailors to decompose for stones to replenish.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

SO does anyone have any recommendations on what to do with genie "builds" and skills?
I just landed a genie that is 10/10 lucky so far. Anxious to see where it leads to.0 -

If all goes right, you'll watch as it turns out 18/90.
Really, the first 10 points is a really bad predictor for what's gonna happen, since it's about random. Most people, unless they have a very strictly set standard, would probably take their genies to level 30 before deciding whether to discard them or not.
Then there are those with strict standards who will pretty much discard their genie if they get less than 8 lucky points even once.I am Olba. Not Ol, not Baze nor Blaze. And even less would I go by Olblaze. Please, take a second to read a person's username.
If you see b:cute be sure to take a second, calm look at anything I said.0 -

Nobody can really give you an idea on a genie build if you don't tell them what you will use your genie for.
My recommendation to you is first think of what you are using your genie for. Are you going to be use it to help you in PvE or PvP situations where you're taking severe damage and need a lifeline (Absolute Domain, Second Wind, Tree of Protection) or are you going to be using it where it's going to need to help you kill things faster (Extreme Poison, Tangling Mire)?
Based on what you want your genie to do you then need to plot out what skills are going to help you. For example, Cloud Eruption is a popular skill for clerics who are liable to burn chi fast with things like BB. Alpha Male is popular on barbs and tanking BMs to help them keep aggro. Different skills are increased and boosted by strength, dexterity or both, so it's a good idea to read up on your skills before you get them and consider if they will help you and if they will work together.
For example, Alpha Male gets a small boost for every 10 strength on your genie and Cloud Eruption gets a small boost for every 2 strength, so these two skills would work well together because they both make use of the strength skill.
That's all there is to a genie.
Plot out what you will use it for.
Find out what skills best suit your needs.
Find out if you can get those skills by looking at the affinity they need and whether they both need the same stat or not.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Yeah, it wasn't until a while after posting this I realized I didn't post up what I wanted to get out of the genie.
I am looking for something that can help me tank a little better. Perhaps even an AoE would be nice. Class is a Barb
Alpha Male and Cloud eruption look good. I was also looking at Tai Chi, Second Wind and Solid shield. Almost all Earth.
If you have a good combination in mind, mixing in a little mitigation, damage (possibly AoE) and some kind of health regen, along with point placement for that particular set up, I am all ears.
The thing is, I dunno how many points should be invested in str, magic, etc. My genie has a good base of magic from the start.0 -
Cloud Eruption, Alpha Male and Solid Shield are a few good genie skill choices if you're looking for help tanking. You might also want to consider a Zeal genie, as Earthflame allows you to pull within some restrictions, meaning if you're squad is venoless but you still need to pull a mob, you can do it yourself and don't have to worry about taking aggro from anybody before a potential oneshot. Absolute Domain is another good one to consider given recent TT changes.
As a barb, Second Wind might not be all that useful to you. Tree of Protection is a good skill if you can level it given the large HP pool you have (and it also aids the power of Armageddon)
Map out what skills you want, and then see how much energy they all cost. The minimum number of energy you want your genie to have is equal to the skill that takes the most energy. Focus on getting your vitality levelled until your genie can (or will be able to) use their skills. Then follow the stat(s) that aid your skills. Magic is useful, but best considered a bonus. If you have spare points, putting them into magic to try and improve your energy regen rate isn't necessarily a bad idea if you find yourself using multiple skills in short spaces of time and then waiting for cooldown.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

genie is not an expansion of your skills. genie should be used like pots, in emergencies. do not use your genie to grind.0 -

Wonderful. I have a Zeal and read that I should get rid of the skill the genie comes with because yuo can only have 4 total. Until I read that, I HAD been using Earthflame as a pulling method. I guess I just screwed myself out of that one. Is there another option I have now?0 -

It's only three mirages to make another genie.
You could make yourself two genies if you so wanted; one could be a Zeal with Earthflame and other PvE tanking skills (Alpha Male maybe, Tree of Protection, etc.) which you could use in situations where you need to pull and nobody else can or is willing to do so. Your secondary genie could be used as an instance genie perhaps, or for later TTs where you're probably going to have a veno in squad.
My recommendation would be to make a few genies and find out what works and what doesn't. Mirages are pretty easy to come by these days and it only takes three mirages to make a genie. (Also, I don't know what level you are, but eventually as you level up you'll be getting more and more spirit to play with, making levelling genies easier.)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Do your OHT daily...daily. I have over 2000 Perfect Stones on my toon right now, and that's just from this month. I almost always have 500-1000 of them on me at any given time. Some people risk to employ me
Some people live to destroy me
Either way they die0
