PW- Unfair to customers

Have you ever wanted something that seemed so simple, that it actually is that simple, yet it wont be added into the game? I'm sure many have. I'm sure people would kill to have a 'Blood' effect OPTION added into the game, which can be simply added without much effort and wouldnt take up any space if you think about it.

But that isnt what I want to talk about.. :)

What's unfair to us, the players, and the buyers of 'Gold', are the totally random colored fashion items. If someone could give me an INTELLIGENT reason why it needs to be random, I'd love to hear it, and if if that responce is "Making money", then that'd be false, their actually losing money by not making it an option to choose your color.

Lets say someone wants to pay 10$ for 10g so they can get some fashion items, they want a set of Biker gear for their character. He wants it all in black, but knows that he cant have it because It's all in random colors. Now, most if not all the percentage of Perfect world are smart enough NOT to keep wasting gold to buy random pigments of dye just to finally get ONE piece of clothing dyed.

Think about that, PW would lose money because this guy isnt gonna pay them 10$ because of a stupid effect in the game. If it was taken out, they'd GAIN that 10$. Now times that by about... Oh I dont know, everyone who plays the damn game, and thats A LOT of money.

This needs to be changed ASAP, your ruining your game by having this annoying useless, and just plain stupid effect in your game. If GM's read this, I at least ask you to think about it, before deleting this, because you really should consider letting people choose their color of clothing.

Thanks for reading, and hope you all agree. If not, tell me why. :P But I'm sure I cleared up the 'why'

(Sorry if this post sounded harsh, I was mad at the time ^_^, but it does not sugarcoat, so it gets the point off nicely)

Which AH? The magical one? I never see the clothes I want, and especially not in the color. Im saying It's an easy fix, and this 'problem' is annoying, why should players have to sell their gold for coins, and HOPE and literally PRAY their item is in the AH?

The reason this problem is has been here for 2 years, is because the staff running the game arent willing to fix this. Which is upsetting. Again, I'd like someone to tell me, why they feel the need to have this in the game? It's only a thorn in our sides if you ask me.

If I'm paying them cash, I should have the option to at least pick out the exact color I want, end of story.

And again, they ARE losing money, no one wants to transfer their gold into coins to TRY and find it in the AH, you do realize that is next to impossible right? It's like looking for the Holy Grail. At least on my server anyway. And asking for it in trade over and over... well, That's self-explained.

So again, my point is, if they'd just FIX this, they'd make money, and we'd all be happy.

WEEEEELLLLL to be honest, it doesnt make them lose money it actually makes them gain it because u get those people who will sit there and pay gold for random dyes and dye it till they get the color they want LOL or they'll wonder around west arch and spend endless amouts of money on coins buying dye... and its a true story... LOL sadly b:chuckle as annoying as the "problem" is it will never change... no matter what we think... and really they get more money from girl players i bet... because sadly we are impulsive and really want fashion most guys walk around in armor cause i makes them look tough LOL. ::laughs:: hell i dont know but i guess its a good point either way

Although I had to click reply to get here this is not a reply at all. I am posting this in hopes of gaining someone's attention that is in a position to help me.
The Tiger Packs, which by the way I haven't had the best of luck with just totally screwed me. Yesterday, August 04, 2010 I was watching the names of the lucky ones roll by with receiving Token of Best Luck, Championship Scrolls and, a few other items. Mind you that several of these names rolled by several times.
I had to have some Tiger Packs, I bought $40.00 worth and got all Tokens of Perfect Luck.Up until now I have really loved PWI, but seeing all those names roll by and repeatedly with their items while i got $40.00 worth of Perfect Luck, how fair is that? I have spent allot of money and time in and on this game and I am just wondering if i should leave? I mean to not appreciate a valuable customer no more than this? And this isn't all I put an additional $10.00 on too after the $40.00 blow out. I just knew my luck had to change, all Perfect Luck.
Today another $10.00 and so far all Perfect Luck!! So as I sit here ruminating on such a loss of funds should I leave for another game? I mean since i have started playing PW I have gotten allot of my friends to join and I know they spend cassh too. My guild or faction whichever you prefer, between the people running multi acct. and farming like crazy and lets not forget the bots make it where they can afford to pay $500,000 for a Tiger Pack in game is **** the rest of us. So can anyone tell me how to reach a PW staffer or should my crew and I just leave?

Well, I dont know what to say. There's nothing that we can do, which is sad because in a lot of games, there's a sort of "Support" forum, where if players have problems, the staff usually reads them ALL, and considers the problem.

In this game however, it doesnt seem like they care. This by far is the most overpriced game in terms of buying their 'Zen', and even so, they treat their customers like something they found at the bottom of their shoe.

Apparently, either they cant take critisism, or their idiots. Either way, they do have problems, and it sucks that it doesnt seem like It's even been being considered as 'fixable'.

Lol bro, gtfo. Its not ruining anything. PWE is not unfair to customers, you buy what you buy. Caveat emptor. You knew what you were getting yourself into, yet you still buy it? Are you addicted to gambling? It is totally not unfair. If it is unfair, people would not be buying anything but yet, PWE is swimming in cash from sales. Goods do not sell if they're overpriced. Overpriced? I think not when plenty of people think it is reasonable and continue to purchase zen. There is no problem at all. You're just butthurt because you lost at gambling.

Also... blood is not easy to add.

@azerdivine: You're butthurt because you lost at gambling as well. 50 packs is NOTHING. Those people that you see rolling down the side of the screen are opening hundreds and most of the time thousands of packs.
I was early taught to work as well as play,
    My life has been one long, happy holiday;
Full of work and full of play-
I dropped the worry on the way-
And God was good to me everyday.

It's a gamble, and it's based on luck. The people you see over and over getting things are opening HUNDREDS of packs, not just 40 or 50. It is unfortunate that you didn't get anything besides tokens but I don't think it's unusual. Nobody forced you to buy the packs, and there was nobody deciding what each pack would give you, so the only person responsible here is you.

Your suggestion will be added to the normal list of suggestions that are compiled and sent to the developers on a regular basis. Just because you make a suggestion, that does not automatically mean you will get the suggestion added. This has been brought to the attention of our staff many times over the last two years but you also need to remember that the game is over 5 years old so adding or changing code is no simple task. The original version was also in Chinese which presents more issues when trying to change or add features since it has to be altered in multiple languages and areas.

So once again, your suggestion will be passed on but this is not a guarantee that you will get what you want.

Thanks GM, "Snuggles", It's appreciated greatly. As for the code of the game being changed, it honestly doesnt seem that hard to me. Just switch the code so it isnt random and lets players choose their body color. I know a couple of friends who tell me this isnt that difficult, as there's only a few fashion clothes in the game to change.

As for Lloyd, I was being sarcastic about the blood effect. And I didnt buy anything, where did you read in my post that I bought something? If you'd read a little... :)

All in all, I realize my own server is fairly new, and things are going to be overpriced. However, I believe this 'code' change would benefit not only me, but everyone who wants to buy fashion and not bash their head in their desk. I understand the 'luck' and gamble based items need to stay the same. But if your just wanting to buy fashion, it should be a simple option to choose the color you want.

Now this isnt a complaint, It's just a review of what I think about this. I know this game is old, and you guys have worked hard to do what you do. But you should always look into the demand of what players want, and I think the majority would love to have this into the game. It would cure the stress of just wanting a simple set. :)

Thanks for reading all, your opinions are always welcomed, including critisism towards me if any, but be fair too. :)

Nothing wrong with the game dev and pub there no sign of bankrupt, server merge, forum with no moderator, main page never updated.
Other official PW version that still has direct connection with Beijing PWE still working just fine until today. (especially CN version)

I understand there are folks out there that may have some knowledge of coding and how it works but I can assure you that making your suggested change in an extensive MMO is definitely not simple. The game engine that is used for the game itself is our own created game engine so the way the game was coded is slightly if not greatly different than "traditional" coding. This also presents issues with resolving bugs and other game-related things that were also mentioned in an above post. The other thing that many people forget to think about is that GM's are not the developers and we have no control of what gets done first as our devs have multiple games to maintain in multiple languages and versions. So any change is not considered small.

Think of it this way, look at all of the fashion items that are available. We would have to first make the code to implement the idea of choosing the color for the item. Then have to apply and test that code to see if the idea can work. Then have to find every single instance in the coding of an item that would possibly need this change added. After that, there would also need to be coded the different color options into that new code and tested to ensure that every single color is displayed properly for every individual item and properly labeled. For just one fashion item like a shirt for example, the task of creating the code, applying, testing, resolving any issues with the code, re-testing, could take many days or even weeks. Of course after a few are done the process would speed up but not by much. Now take that amount of time and multiply it by the amount of fashion items available in the game to date past or present since some items can be available in one version and not another, and that would be getting close to the possible amount of time to implement the idea.

Again, we are not the coders so I do not wanna start a "well this is how you should fix your game" or "this is how I would do things" debate cause that's not what we are here for. I am just trying to show you folks that things are not always as easy as "just add the code" or "just fix it" because there are many MANY things behind the scenes that effect this and simply cannot be discussed here.

    Mr. Butthurt,
Aze Davis here. Butthurt is that a game you and your bro's play around the house when mommy and daddy are not home? As strange and as sick as you apparently are I could go on for days about your little man friend game, but that is not why I am here. I am here because out of a group of 153 people it was decided that i would try and alert someone to the B.S. that is going on in PWI.
For instance how are you at math? If it is as good as your grammar I see why you still live at home. If one such as yourself were capable of performing mathematical functions you could easily figure the Gold to Coin conversion and see that something is clearly not right. And hen you see the people pumping up Genie EXP Cubes with a Bot then those people are the same ones going and paying upwards of 500,000 coins for a Tiger or Sunshine Pack because they cant spend their hard earned Coins for Gold to spend at the Boutique for they would be busted. And the people who are Mass Farming while they are really out shopping or at school are fair? Clearly you are a perfect PWI fan, but the next time you start with your homosexual definitives and the sissified way you sling them at people you cant see or better yet cant see you, you should think before your **** starts over riding your mouth.
I guess that in the end you are just a little jerk that has nothing better than to stick his nose in other peoples business. You should at least consider that there may be circumstances of which at your current maturity level you cannot comprehend. So what I am trying to say without butthurting you so you cant play with your bros is to butt out of stuff that is not your concern.

Well they add new stuff, with freaking full of bugs/glitches, which creates a lot of work to them. Just freaking look at the new patch, it so glitched it`s not even funny. But meh, if PWE would care, glitches like nix bleed would have been fixed a long time ago, it can`t be that hard, like seriously, I bet I could fix it in a year if I, with almost zero coding experience, would start to study coding now. I just won`t believe bs about how they are doing best with that glitch if they are, god, they need new coders. That just is not the only bigger glitch, but the first that got into my mind, when I was thinking about old glitches, which are not fixed.
