what kind of monster contains Dull Claw?

it's aero monster training, and i need to find 5 dull claws...trouble is, i have no direction whatsoever...

help?

    Well Dull Claw is a DQ Item and it drops from a variety of mobs.
    However, if I am not mistaken it drops from the wolves outside of West Archosaur.
    The ones, that are lvl 22/23/24 (correct me if I am mistaken here).

    True that it does drop from the wolves, but they are 5-7 lvls under you by 30, so you should try the jakaleopardities (whatever you spell those) near the old swordsman, which are a bit higherin lvl (27 maybe) and that should drop it better.

    Best drops for dull claws are from Saints Lake Piranha in Lake of the Plume, which should take you well outside the usual PK areas. Of course, they're level 34, and you'll need a decent water pet.

    PS-if you convert a pet back into an egg, will it lose their loyalty?

    Nope, the turtles do not drop them. U can make a new char, lvl 16-18-ish, and go kill the lvl 19 feral something mobs ( look like lions with claws) around fb 19 untamed.
    But the Midnight jakaleopardities( maybe lvl 26-27) are good dull claw dropers, and they are near Charr, don't think that one is a populated area ( I am guessing).
    And yes, the converted pet loses all loyalty.

    The level 27 Saints Lake Tortoise King might be a better choice of water pet, if you don't have one leveled up.

    heartless wolf drop dull claw often too, and there are a lot of them too XD
