So instead of the normal bad news(as if we don't get enough of it from the news....literally 3 times a day or more) it's time for a bit of good news to go on PWI's forums. No this isn't an *** kissing post nor is it sarcasm but I, for one, feel that it's long over due.
Thanks PWI,GMs,Mods, and especially the players.
Yes from that annoying ******* with +10/12 gear (yup thanks for making this game free for us) to the GMs that constantly take the shots for things they can't even control (no GMs DO NOT make the game) to the random curious nooby asking for help. There's a reason we're all still here (besides the fact we're all addicts).
What I really feel makes this game are the people. Sure you run into the bad apples but for the most part, you really meet some cool folks. People like NaitomeaDesu and Erynn who went out their way to constantly help and gave up their sleep just to listen to a rant or help with the faction...Wizzeled who gave a different shade of light to Sanctuary...the pkers who killed you on sight...all good experiences. Regardless of the positive or negativity a certain event or person emanated, it still helped us all as an actual person. This may be a game but people are real. I think for the most part we tend to forget that.
To the staff that works hard to correct problems and listen day in and day out (yes some people on PWI staff DO listen to the players), thanks. I for one don't have the patience to handle the type of slander you guys deal with. Sure mistakes might have been made but then no one is perfect.
Hopefully this shades a new light on the normal negativity I've been seeing. All the QQ about people,packs,the game,PWI staff...it's not needed. Try to see situations from other point of views and find the positivity in this game. We all know it's there. Look at little bit and you just might like what you see.

Gotta love those tiger smilies ^^ If you actually knew me and took the time to see my gear, you'd know as well as my whole server that I don't cash shop. And on top of that my name has never appeared for any prizes won out of packs. I'm one of few who actually farmed TT for me 1, yes count it, 1 tt99 armor piece. Fail more please ^^

I've met a couple of wonderful people in this game and it also helped me get closer with some of my online pre-PWI friends. We fought together, we laughed, we discovered the game. I kept a small diary and lots of screenshots of fun events, instance runs, RPGs, faction chat etc.
Things are not like they used to be 2 years or 1 year ago but complaining for the past won't solve anything. Sure, there are things we don't like but why can't we just deal with it and keep enjoying the game? It's the people who make it wonderful after all. If my friends hadn't joined and if I hadn't met nice people in PWI to have fun with I would have quited/gotten bored long ago.

You get achievements for buying and selling gold in AH... he has bouhgt 25 gold and sold 25 gold achievements...
btw. he does Cash Shop (500+ achievements), maybe he never charged ZEN...
anyway it's not a blame to use the cash shop i do as well from time to time, if you think "Cash Shop King" is insulting... QQ at PWE which named the achievement, i don't feel blamed if someone calls me cash shop user...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

nothing about you spending rl cash. Hence, he did not state that you used rl cash, meaning he wasn't wrong

And looking at your profile... You've purchased 50 items from the cash shop and you've only completed 50 unique quests...
So you have like a lvl 20 character with a whole bunch of cash shop items.

Technically you are right. In every other way you are wrong.
GMs work for the company that runs PWI. That company has some form of licensing deal with the company who actually makes it.
Now, the big question: do you really think the GM's parent company doesn't have a phone number of the guys they are licensing the game from? There's how many customers, 3? (Malaysia, Int, Europe)?
Thing is, this isn't a $40 game box you buy from the local store, where the company doesn't care what you think. If the PWI company wants to speak up, the development company WILL listen.
Now I don't know what the problem is you are complaining about --- adding more cash stuff isn't exactly against explicit wishes of the PWI company. But in reality, the GMs ARE the ones that can talk to the guys (the PWI company) that can talk to the guys that can actually make changes (beyond configuration file changes).
There's a reason game companies don't have postal addresses, EMail addresses or phone numbers --- they need to hide from the customers, channeling everything through their "support" systems where it can be ignored easily. GMs are part of that support system, and they are the only ones that "we" can reach.
Of course, since they are only ones that we can reach, they can also tell us whatever they want. Blaming some obscure invisible development company for "we just pay them tons of money, but they don't listen to us all" is an easy way out. No they won't. For the devs our version is just another cash cow, they'd do just fine with their own version. If the suggestion is easy to implement and is actually good they will do it but in case it is something only we want they won't do it.

If this was licensed version we wouldn't even get updates in time. Just like the other version that is licensed, it hasn't been updated in a while.100% F2P player. Started PW: March 2007, Quit PW: March 2011.

Usually in this game, the thought of you cash shopping seems to be more of a negative term I personally wouldn't like attached to my name. I don't mind people that cash shop tbh but for me, it's not how I play the game. That and well...I don't exactly have the rl funds to do so. xD[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
