are they permanent? or just that GMs don't do well his job and forgot to take them out? or maybe i'm wrong and they're in a sale? : o

the thing is that i can't read all of the thousands of post in this forum that there's some word that says "pack" or "permanent" bc all of the Q.Qers x_x0

Packs have always been permanent.0

One of our local mods is going to charge on here and argue the semantics of "indefinite" against "permanent" with you until you're blue in the face, because he and the company would have you believe that they would actually consider their player base and remove packs in the future at some given point in time.
My advice to you is don't believe him. Packs were only not permanent before because the company kept **** with us trying to find ways to ruin the drop rate of the items while still trying to encourage people to hoard packs.
Now the worst of all packs has been added permanently (oh wait, "indefinitely") to the boutique to make sure people keep buying and buying and buying and buying because if it's not money in their pockets, it's not worth their damn time.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

he is a volunteered, unpaid, uninformed lackey of the greater corporation. (lol he isnt even a forum mod, he just acts like a renta cop vs wiki vandalism.) he has no knowledge of if and or when they may or may not be removed, thus the definition is indefinite until you are told otherwise. because really, the company's reps are the only one who do have any say to whether or not you should believe anything, not a wiki rentacop. (because evidently some people cant tell the difference, ignorance is bliss.)
my advice to you is to drop your bone against someone who obviously had the upper hand in a discussion in an opposition to you.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Lol I don't think you read the same argument I was reading, because he was pretty fallacious in some of his arguments and he was pretty adamant of defending PWE. I don't know what his motivation was, but he might as well get paid with all of the leg he's riding.0 -
he gave sound interpretations of his opinion on the matter, cited sources, and didnt resort to the use of the following: stupid, moron, idiot, genius, dip****, etc. although i tend to do it myself sometimes -_-; it just does kind of make you look stupid doing so.
he presented it in a prim, proper, grammatically correct way, almost as if he took the position he's in professionally. the only thing i didnt like, was the fact he wrote a novel for each response, taking forever to do such.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

May I point you in the direction of my last response to you in the thread you quote. You might notice that many of the names you use in this post to try and make me look like such a bad person weren't completely dedicated to nor aimed at Sangodoc. In fact, some of them weren't even used at all.
I have no bone to pick with him, aside from his shortcomings in his argument. Believe me. Go an ask Aryanna for an opinion of what I'm like when I actually have a bone to pick with somebody, for she knows far better then Sangodoc ever will. Whether he works for free or is paid, he remains a small representative of this company in his own small way - every moderator does. For this same reason, it would look terrible on PWE's part if their moderators began to agree with the angry member-base calling them out on their greed, wouldn't it?
And for this reason you will never, never, see a moderator state their true opinion if it were to go against PWE as a whole.
But let's not derail this thread, shall we?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
@OP: Yeah, they're permanent.WaffleChan - Sanctuary wrote: »uh, because MODS really work for the company as paid staff? right? no.

If the mods work for free, why do they spend so much of their time defending PWI when it's clear that a ****-up has been made? Every pack thread that goes long enough, 1 or 2 will jump in saying how nice it is they don't have to work for items, and how gold price has dropped some minuscule amount in the last week on their server. Every thread about rubberbanding that goes long enough, one will jump in and "remind" us that it's a "fix" for botting. Every thread about DQ price that goes long enough, one will step in and remind us that our "tireless GMs" (who ARE working for PW) are "working on it as we speak."
If they keep spouting propaganda like that, someone is liable to think they believe it. Or perhaps it is because, as with other forums I've worked on, that even in a volunteer position, you can be removed for speaking out against the company for 2 reasons:
1. Because the company runs the forums
2. Because your bosses DO work for the company
If mods can't say anything against PW ever, that's fine. Whatever. It's company policy, they like their avatar, they feel it's their duty, their reasons are their own. But I wish they'd stop spewing the **** that the "normal players" (who they are so quick to identify with) find so insulting to their intelligence. I'd just rather they didn't speak at all and just shut down rule breaking threads for a change (notice, I didn't say merge dump).[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Yes they be permanent.
