2/3 coin loss upon death

Since I came back to this game I noticed that randomly, when I died, I lost about 2/3 of my coins I was carrying on me. They did not drop so I could have picked them up later on, they just completely vanished.
My husband is reporting the same thing on his account.
Now I don't remember a coin loss upon death, only experience, so I am wondering is this a change that happened while I was gone or is it a glitch I need to report?
Oh and no, me and my husband are not rednamed or anything alike.

    I have never heard of such happening before.

    It's not a purpously installed game mechanic. I know that much.

    I was also wondering since I never saw a coin drop when I died.. only if I was unlucky enough to drop an item I was able to see the drop..
    Well now I know it's no change to the game at least and can contact the support about it.

    This is just a guess, but might you be spending coins on something and not be aware of it or forgetting about it?

    For example, when you level up a skill, that costs coins as well as SP. I note this because I've met people who didn't realize that before.

    All I can suggest is keeping a closer eye on how much coin you have on you so you can be sure of exactly when it's decreasing. There's no reason why coins should drop when you die as you describe, nor have I heard anyone else report this before.

    If you're still worried about it, I guess you could just leave your coins at the banker too.

    Seeing that I am not a newbie to the game, I can tell you that I am aware of skill and repair costs. So no, I am not spending any money without realizing it.
    I do know how much I have on me and after I die right away I check the amount, and randomly I find that about 2/3 of it is gone.
    Seeing it as it is, I just got a response to an already opened ticket concerning a graphic problem, so I think I will not open a ticket ever again considering that the support doesn't know what the hell they are talking about..
    So I will just live with the loss or stop playing again ^^
