I was buying arrows a few minutes ago. I was trying to buy 1000 arrows for 10 coins each and 500 bolts for 10 coins each. I had 15k. Was this enough? Apparently not. I bought the 1000 arrows first and looked at my coins, which had gone down to 4.6k. WTF? Next I bought 400 bolts and ended up with 252 coins. I don't understand.. Is this a joke? A new update? Did I miss something that said the game would take away my money for no reason? -.-

    Confirmed.

    Skimming of shot/coins (ingame money) was still going on 4 days ago, on both my accounts. did not try yet after this weeks patch.
    see ^http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=798082&highlight=Poll

    Don't know if this is related : Skimming from Lighter-shops, any word on that? ^http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=820002

    I found Trojans Win32/comisproc and ExecVariant.D on my pc. For Microsoft the Comisproc is Severe threat-level but according to MacAfee it is a low-risk-threat.

    Comisproc is also known as Artemis, i have spread a lowrisk version for 5 years in my ignorance of using illegal software from "helpfull" (or so i thought) hackers. i found it last March with MacAfee.

    Comisproc is how Microsoft and Ahnlabs name it, Microsoft-info : ^http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Threat/Encyclopedia/Entry.aspx?name=Trojan%3aWin32%2fComisproc&threatid=2147625386

    MacAfee calls this variant Artemis!1ca5fa441d6f or Generic.dx!mv!1ca5fa441d6f see ^http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_192264.htm for MacAfee-info.
    Infostealer.Gampass is its Symantic-alias.

    Comisproc was found by MS Security Essentials Background-check :

    Remarcable!
    With no less then 18 security-appl.-installers (some specially for Win7-users) on 1 user-desctop ;
    and several more sec-appl-installers stored elsewhere on this pc ;
    + 9 sec.-appl.'s used of which MS SE and Gdata TotalCare 2011 Trial installed and running symultaniously ;
    while remnants of 3 uninstalled sec-appl.'s fr previous months are also present on the pc
    : only 1 & the same definition in 2 appl's. would be mistakenly recognized as being malware? I do think MS SE noticed it becouse there was activity of the malware trying to hide fr Gdata amongst the still compressed/zipped/etc definitions (fr Avast and Ahnlabs). From where could it make it's 2nd attempt to hide? Did another attempt get trough? (I) MS SE probably did not find it's source, only destinations.

    "When I click start something pops up with NON-English letters"

    This is going to be a wild guess, but it looks like yet another without video drivers.
    (The increasing frequency of this makes me curious.)
    This time I suspect that the latest driver update caused this. It was fine yesterday until I grabbed it off Windows Update in the afternoon and then lost my Anti Alias.

    I'll check when I have time later with my old driver.

    Comisproc/Artemis and/or ExecVariant.D seem to be messing with driver- MSN Messenger- and plugin-updates.
    I had problems with Silverlight 4 in Windows 7, i would sure like to try a Microsoft-Security-update fr August ment for previous versions of Windows/Silverlight (MS10-060 = KB983539). Can't get to any manual MS-update for August, i get redirected to WUS on my own pc which is infected
    (and then again this update would probably not install on my system becouse it is for previous versions anyway and Silverlight-problems are goner for now).
    Not sure but i probably have many minor search-redirects, diferent countries in search-results change to often.

    I am to sleep-drunk to go trough screenshots and write a better post now. i am verry glad to be able to write this here.
    (sleep-deprevation becouse of the exitement of hunting malware was a welcome change fr sleep-deprevation due to various ongoing stresses).

    Yukkuri, i am sorry i quoted you a bit hasty.
    I used your quotes becouse you noticed problems with other ppl's computers in general, not becouse i think your computer specificly is infected.

    I also can not say if the malware is connected to the skimming, i should have written in a seperate thread about the malware. As written i was (and still am) sleep-drunk, a problem i live with for about 3 years now.

    ^http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=820002 is about skimming from Lighter-shops (Zippo-merchants). This could be a bug instead of malware/hacking but there's no answer. Anybody?

    @ Frankieraye :
    I only saw 10 % skimming with buying Falcon Feather Arrows, Iron Bolts and Lead Shot.

    Looking into this.

    In regards to the array of virus issues you are describing, you should install multiple antivirus programs and run multiple scans with them.

    Warning, personal opinions...b:thanks

    MS Sec. Essentials is horrible for game players, and in general IMHO.

    Try Avast or AVG as a free option. For paid options, try Kaspersky or NOD32.
    Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?
