    Ok, I'll throw in a recent story from a cleric point of view.

    I was 67 and joined a full run for bh51 group. A 60 barb put the group together, and invited a 64 barb. I guess they were close together, because the 64 barb says, "who tanks?" I thought he would take it because he was just higher level, natural selection, whatever. Just tell me who to heal.

    Instead of an answer, he goes on.

    64 barb to the 60 barb: "you a fail barb. level 40 axes? lol"

    I think, "man this guy is one of those number crunching ****s."

    60 barb: "I got a mold wep for 62. just waiting until then"

    64 barb: "you fail barb can't tank this bh. noob fail barb"
    *leaves squad*


    So, we go to the BH and the barb tanks the whole thing with a lvl 40 weapon, no problem. No deaths, nothing. Ahh, there was an assassin who got aggro once and died, but no biggie.

    However, the barb was down on his mood, still thinking he's fail the whole time. I said, "dude, that guy's an idiot. you just proved that a good barb doesn't need top gear to tank this thing. you just tanked all three bosses without a hitch."

    I gave him a pep talk and he just continues to rock after that and he catches on that some people are morons. We did BH51s together for almost two weeks. We watched random DDs kill themselves and talked **** about them in whispers and had a blast. Good barb. Just waiting for him to hit 70 so we can go on those runs again.

    Outstanding! Nice to hear from anothers perspective. Lol and its very true you dont need epic gear to be a good tank. That other barb needs to get his head straight. So thank you for contributing to my little threadb:victory

    Sooo why didnt that 64 barb tank if he thought the 60 couldn't? That doesnt even make sense :S

    Ive had many times when the cleric dies from a bosses aoe without a rez scroll (doh!). I always ream the boss one last time, pop an apoth pot and holy path to a safe corner with boss chasing after me, all the time screaming at squad mates to run like hell while I take one for the team. For some masochistic reason I love it...

    Also, if u wanna make friends with squishies in random bh's, wait for them near common leftover mob aggro points (like bh79 right after loon) to pass safely, so u can interject yourself if needed. I have found for some reason that always leaves an impression.

    Leaves an impression cause us squishies are thinking "Omg mob O.O Maybe it won't see me." But if there's someone who take the damage waiting to make sure we get through safely it's nice. b:laugh

    best barb i ever done something pve related with was RoidAbuse, best barb for gamma and delta i ever saw, done gamma with 10k hp without a single dead in squad and not many ticks either, he got 2 ticks in charm, that was like a bit over 1 year ago and around december/january full delta in same conditions with him having 15k hp and squad average gear only b:victory dam pro barb

    I am still using level 40 Xenohammer @ lvl 71, got laughed @ by a bm lvl74.
    I manage to tank pryo, no issue.

    and I have done it Unwined twice under 1 hour b:laughb:laugh
    the last run was only a party of 5 as the bm went off after we refuse to wine.

    I gotta say, hearing another classes oppinion/feed back on barbs is awesome. Really helps us out and lets us know what we are doing right and what could use some work.

    Quite a nice collection of stories here, gotta like hearing about things the barb does well instead of OMG cant u get aggro? or OMG why havent you pulled yet?

    Keep em coming guys, like to read this stuff about my fellow barbs doing well.

    Yep i made this thread for that reason alone Pint. All we get in many other threads is abuse and disrespect. If ya want us better talk to us post up a new thread with some advice if you see us doing something wrong...BE CONSTRUCTIVE!!! Dont be an arogant a.ss because you see it in only your view. Give us suggestions about how we might improve. And plz PLz keep these stories coming i love hearing about how awesome my fellow barbs are. And i learn new things reading how you guys make running TT or Delta or Fcc awesome. It helps me better prepare myself for my next run and i am sure it helps others do too.

    Lastly it puts confidence in our step. Because if we are unsure of something that we never done before like a Lunar run or some such, it really goes a long way to boosting our confidence when you let us now whats up.b:victory

    Lol ok here's one i did the other day i'm on my lvl 70 barb and i'll say my stats aren't pure tank build but while i was in 1-2 we decided to kill soulbanisher which i had never done before...there was another barb a couple lvls ahead of me who had 1k more hp than me...we got him to about 1/4 hp and suddenly everyone died except me the other barb and the cleric while the cleric was doing BB then out of know where the barb and the cleric die and soulbanisher has about 60k hp left so i'm extremely scared now and i start spaming my genie heal my bestial rage and my pots....and use my double spark as a heal/magic damage reducer/ damage mulitplier it took about 5 mins and the cleric died a second time when she tried to come back but somehow i managed to kill soulbanisher

    I gotta say , my main is currently a lvl 68 barb as I've only been playing a short time. In game I get a lot of comments on tanking abilities and what not , but I was wondering.. Most of my skills I use in tanking , i.e. flesh ream , alacrity and surf impact to gain chi skills are pretty much maxed.. When I was lower levels , I lvled my humie skills pretty high, now that my tank skills are maxed, should I continue to lvl my humie skills? And is all the hype with Armageddon really worth it? Donating half my hp for a focused blast..? Im sorry to seem like an info mooch, but I really could use a tip. =) Thanks in advance for helping, **** all you that hate. It's a game, have fun, enjoy it , and to hell with those who talk ish about barbs, where would you all really be without a good tank? Think about it..

    In the end you gonna get so much spirit and coin its gonna be crazy..... But yes you should max everything.

    Its easier to aoe grind that way: Gather a group of mobs(physical mind you)Sunder, surf in pact turn human swell slam choose one to hit with beasty onslaught then back into tiger surf impact again hopefully by then your sunder is cool down enough to use it again.


    As far as arma goes....I am a demon barb...i am pretty much an assault class yet i can still tank the hell outta anything if your gonna get accuracy rings. I would most certainly max arma when you can. its one deadly skill and can do alot of damage when it hits. For instance...I crited for 135k last night in Fcc. I like that kinda power i dont know about you.b:dirty

    the day i hit 80 and my forum avatar changed into bad ***-ness. :> other then that umm idk ive always done stuff 10+ lvls ahead of myself or tried at least. the day i tanked pole and tt1-2 w/o a charm was very cool for me. oooh and i can finally tank wurlord uncharmed :> little late i suppose oh well the ive had a good run :) stay classy barbs b:bye
