What is your BEST memory from playing PWI? Putting aside all of this CRAPPY QQ and Negative Thoughts... Why is it you play this game? What makes it tick for you... And Lets keep it civil. This Thread is a great discussion on one of your best most fond memories.

Please, for the sake of my sanity, keep your Negativity to someone elses thread. Some of us still do ENJOY this game despite the "problems" it has.

For me, my best moment that I remember to this day and I don't know why, was the patch of the first ever Expansion for Perfect World International. The day when they Implimented our SECOND Daily known back then as Paperclip and more commonly known today as World Quest. It was also the begnning for the Chrono Wheel Cultivation quest that sync'd nicely with your Spiritual cultivation. I remember the both of these Quests started at level 70 and it fell just before the first Christmas and New Years Events.

Back then the game after level 60ish was all Grind, and that World Quest was OMG EPIC.. XD

I also remember EqualiZeR, Avengers, and RoC's PK parties outside of Tusk Town and the *even then* vitrually deserted Dreaming Cloud towns.

I remember when I was a lowbie, and adventured to the mighty gigant spiders south of Etherblade, they were around level 40, and I got to kill one, secretly expecting it to level me up like 5 times xD

Oh, and when I was recruited to Panacea, a great guild, mainly disbanded now, but it was heaven to me, my guides on PWI.

Oh, and once, when a cleric bailed on my BH squad and a barb trusted me his safety, told me to go pure heals, and completed it with me ^.^

To be honest, my best moments thus far are, when I PKd a noob for the mat he was harvesting and he told me hed "Kick my butt to Egypt!" And when a friend got some valuble PK drops on a red.

Red: Dude give it back I spent the last of my paycheck.

Friend: No lol!

Red: Cmon pls.

Friend: Ok lemme check my bag.

Getting Arch in the PvE TW. It was hard and challenging with people dying left and right, but the sense of accomplishment and 80 people working together as a team was just priceless

OMG that brings up another fond memory. When I was level 5, I was playing with my Boyfriend. He was level 45 and near Sumor Camp. I got lost doing a quest and ended up dying. It ported me into Swiftwind tribe, and I remember seeing the Senile Iblis' mobs. Level 45 and EVIL. I tried to run back to Lost and got killed over and over and over again. My boyfriend laughed and told me I had gotten myself there and I had to get myself back on my own. That day I learned how to read the map, and how to read the minimap. I learned about Aggro... and dying of course, it was the first time I had died in the game. It was ... the most AWESOEM time.. I laughed sooo hard for hours trying to get back. The Jerk never did carry me home. I finally got far enough that when I died I went back to Lost.. LOL.

That day I swore my vengeance on the Senile Iblis, and when I got to the level where I could kill them, I swear I grinded like a week on them...

when i first saw Blessing in west archo AH with her 99 gold glaive

was a veno then, saw her and immediately rolled a cleric with one goal in mind: to get the 99 gold glaive. nothing else mattered xD

the day i got smattered by a wb when my guild went out on a wb hunt

virgin wb smattering!

and as much as it made me sound like i have no life; the day i married my ig hubby!

0.0 Now that you said that, I remember that once I walked all the way from Etherblade to Archosaur (I was totally lost), dodging mobs and then, a big red bug killed me >.<

And yes, after that BH back then, now I am a non~cash shopped monster with lvl 11 heals and -74% channeling ^.^

I solo heal HH sometimes, even with certain AoE bosses.

My best moment in PWI? Dunno. I think imma always have good moments when im doing FF, TT or whatever with my irl boyfriend en irl other friends.
I met other playes here en got really close with em

Best moment on PWI for me was when i unexpectedly first met my now fiance, I moved to a guild ran by a friend and he was dragged to the same guild by his friend after his first guild disband, we became close friends and things just progressed :P cant thank PWI enough for giving me the one thing i cant live w/o! b:chuckle

Nope thats EXACTLY what I meant..

I met my now RL best friend / Ex boyfriend on this game on Dreamweaver Server. He's a WONDERFUL great guy and yeah. Thank you for sharing that story!

cool, it's a shame how few people remember Avengers. if i could have that original core of players in a guild again with all the gear now, i'd go up against any guild...

gotta say NeoMccoy was a grinder, lol, made lvl 100 before any of the other generations, no oracles or anything, lol. back in the day.

everyone from HT remembers Hong, sadly my only interaction with him was when he was being a safe zone bi*ch i believe it was down in tusk town.

harley, bookman, desi, and me were doing some crazy out of lvl stuff.

FC squad mode before they chumped it up, lol, racing through the little white mini's.

the server pk fest over by the flying pheonixes, lol, was one of the best pk fests back then, think it involved almost every major guild on the server

some of the best memories i have are from the first 6 to 8 months or so.
TW: taking Plume, 1k and Arch wish i had the pc with the pictures available b:surrender

Fun: standing down by the water between lost/swamp/dreamweaver and shooting off fireworks with my bf for new years since we cant rl together

PVE: finishing 3-3 for the first time with nemo and blessing when i was only in my low 80's and everyone was so scared to go.
Also the first time me and my bf tried to solo FF at like level 80.. then getting ressed and he stood at the entrance waiting for us to die again b:surrender

My favourite moment was when there was a bug in the game where players would get stuck and crash by flying over Etherblade lake and on HT server there was an emergency maintenance....and about 10 quadrillion WCs per second, mostly by angry players. b:chuckle

The server didn't roll back, not even by a second, so even I wasted dozens of teles. b:sad

Running TT, i always ran it with the same people and i enjoyed every second of it. Unlike most people who complained about running any kind of instance. Even after a squad wipe we would lol at how it happened.

Lolz!, finally a thread where I can say the 1st and main impression I got from this comunity as soon as I checked forums for the 1st time.

To start, let me tell you about the last game I was playing before knowing PWI, I wont say it's name, but it was, bassically a laggy game, it lags only by the presence of one of it's own bosses in the map, and don't ask how it was in a map with more than 1 boss, 1 of the PvP events in game is a war in which you are in a pretty little map, where you have maybe a half of the space U have in the 1st Cube of Fate room more or less, with as many players as they wanna participate, and with around 10 bosses in it, to "add challenges", the lag was as bad as to allow you to kill others (and others to kill you) by "ghosting" them, you see a frozen image of them in a place where they were a moment ago, but where they aren't anymore, and hit it, and it affects them as if they actually were there. Every race in that game has 3 kinds of weapons, and one of them, for every race, was totally useless, cuz of the stat points distribution and the weapon features, so if someone likes that weapon, just can't use it, otherwise he'll be a fail character and everyone would kill him/her whenever they want, it was a complete fail from the developers. you can't swim, you can't fly, the fastes way to lvl up there is by killing mobs, cuz not even quests gives you exp faster than that, and at mid-high lvls its freaking boring to lvl up there, U haven't any kind of quest, like BH for example, to lvl up faster, and better than faster, without getting extremely bored -_-. it has a lot of quests with description mistakes, which tells you to go to certain location to find the mob U need to kill, when sayd mob is actually in a different place, and I started playing that game from it's Close Beta, it has more than a year now, and devs didn't fix it yet. almost every time they implement somethign new to the game, it comes with awful bugs. You can't auto-path in that game, and you couldn't walk using the keyboard until a couple of months ago, when they made it so U can use the arrow keys, not WASD keys. The world map there wasn't a signle map, like in PWI, it's many maps and you need to teleport or use portals to move betwen towns and cities, the mountains and kewl background landscape isn't something you can go and walk in and explore, you can't climb mountains there, it's just a background image.

But the game has a lot of popularity, I'm sure most of you heard about it, cuz the staff there spends more time in announcement than in improving the game. Maybe the worst thing of that game is that it's designed to be great!!!, it should be actually fun! which makes you keep playing the game, loosing your time, supporting the staff and waiting for them to fix the bugs and let the game be as fun as it should, but that never happened, and by what I see in it's forums, it still without happening.

So I supose that U can imagine how I felt when I left that game and came to PWI for the 1st time. This is the best F2P online game I've ever played, I noticed it's little errors too (like when you can't sit down on flying mounts, or when a Panda-man transforms into a white tiger instead of a Panda) but they don't keep ppl from nejoying the game!. And one day I decided to check the forums, looking for advice... the 1st thing I found was a complaining thread, then another and another and thought wow! how can people be so angry with a game like this??? O.o

I'm not saying that people shouldn't help developers by telling them what's going wrong in game, so they can fix it, but U don't need to be so rude!, maybe the game I was playing before deserve it, cuz it's clearly noticed that they payed the cheapest developers to make the game, and now it fails like hell, but they already got lots of money by selling it. But this game? seriously?, this is really good and hardly made, that's the 1st impression I got from the game, when I started playing it, if you compare it with other games, (being my old game the best example) this game shows a hard work from developers, if you want my sincere opinion, so at least stop being rude to them!

Even with all those features which aren't enabled in game now, the gam still having a lot of things to do and have fun with, so I think ppl should enjoy it more and rage less.(i'm almost not playing it currently because of studies, but I'll reanude it as soon as I get decent free time again)

...oh yah, my best in game moment, I almost forgot it lolz. It was one day in BH 39 dungeon, when my squad mates and me got attacked by around 5-7 mobs at same time, and all of us died except for... guess who!! me! b:pleased. I supose it wouldn't be special if I weren't a full DEX build assassin lolz. No one sayd gratz to me, nor even mentioned it, nor me, anyway I felt so epic that day b:victory

my fave moments? i have many SSs, but without a doubt it was the the wonderful early days of discovering, exploration of this world with my son. we love this game so much. and those were the wonderful early days of the game, when the GMs were on, you knew them, could ask them for help, knew they would take care of problems. the wonderful early days of discovering, exploration with my son. we love this game so much!

btw, this from the earliest days we were in the game, on the Lost City server- 'Nemorth' was the first character i made, it was my account. i was exploring around, got lost, got killed, and somehow got sent to Town of Arrivals. at that point, my son took over, to figure out what had happened, and was hooked! in the meantime, i had made my first "FoxRunning" character, and we realised we had to have two accounts. my son was so far along on Nemorth, and a new barb, that i went ahead and made a new account for him, thinking he would give me back my original one. nope. so now, when i look at the details of this account, it says im male, and born in Kansas! ^_^ So he has an account that says he's female....talk about messed up! not about to try switching, at this late date, though!

My most memorable moment was when i was only around level 15 on my veno (my very first char) and went afk near lost city for around 20 mins. When i came back to the computer, my 3 year old son was standing there and proclaimed "look mummy, i made her run!!" I took a look at what he'd done and found i was up somewhere near Thousand Streams. I have no idea how he managed to get up there without killing me, but it took me over an hour to get back and i died multiple times.. probably should have got him to run back for me lol b:chuckle

Next moment was again on my veno when i was in the late 2x's and my rl friend who plays a cleric and I decided to duo fb19. My friend was also in the 2x's and both being our first chars, we were just totally noob lol. The first couple of times trying to take down razorjaw totally failed, until we figured out a winning strategy lol. I would take aggro and just run around in a huge circle with razorjaw trailing behind and my wolf yapping at it's heels, and my friend would DD until he took aggro. Then as soon as he took aggro, he'd run circles and i'd DD. Rinse and repeat until he was dead lol...Took us forever but it was a glory moment in our minds and it was awesomely fun lol b:laugh

as a lvl 79 barb in fc and someone hit the little mob on the Oceania Master......

i solo tanked that boss from 500k hp down, cause cleric kept missing hands on the way back lol. T.T my poor charm

but was alot of fun
