Unable to pick up the last tab, FB51

I was helping a friendly barb do his FB 51 last night. The squad killed the 2 first bosses, and had one left, but for some reason he could not get the Tab for it. He tried relogging of course, no use. Anyone know the possible reasons for this?
Our idea was that he is too high lvl already, and has finished his culti and got the Tabs for his FB59. If this is indeed the reason, what should he do?
I apologise if I am asking something already answered elsewhere, or if I am posting this in the wrong section. I am new to this forum :-)

    It does sound like his level was too high. If that is the case, you can't do anything about it.

    yes, he probably out lvled the quest.
    I know of tab quests expire, and I read before that it's roughly 10 lvls after which that happends

    I guess this is bad news? Will this mean there are some skills he will never get? Or some other major disadvantage?

    You can junk every single tab you get throughout the game and still get all your cultis. That's because tabs only give incentive to kill bosses; quests will only require the actual kill of the boss, not that the boss must be tabbed.

    Just in case. The last tab of FB51 (Myriadtail Wyvern) is given to you after turning in the first two tabs (Fushma & Rankar) at Talon Member Chao NPC on Dragon's End.

    Once you have a quest in your quest list, it's chain won't dissapear even if you are outside lvl range. I remember I killed Haggis Geezlot (26 quest) when I was 40+ and I was still able to finish the Ladywrath quest chain with no troube.

    Slight correction, the last tab is given after you turn in the boss quest for Fushma and Rankar and receive the boss quest for Wyvern. You could level to 61 before picking up the boss quests (which have no level limit) and never get the tabs (level limit for the call to duty is 60) and still get the Wyvern quest. FB51 has nothing to do with culti anyway, the 49 culti bosses are all outside the instance. It's 59 where the culti bosses start to be tabbed FB bosses.

    Just to be clear on what Mayfly is saying; the "Call: Wraithbeast" quest for Wyvern expires when you hit level 61. You have to be level 51-60 and have completed the "Avenger's Fury" quest in order to get it. If the barb in question was level 61 or higher, then that explains why he couldn't get it.
