New to TT

Not in the mood to type out a long *** guide, atm.

Just two things: make damn sure you have Amplify Damage and Purge maxed. Also, Lending Hand.

You won't use Purge until you start 2-2, but you will have to spam Amplify on bosses on every cooldown. Lending Hand is for sending barbs/clerics chi as they need it to keep aggro/blue.

Best wait till lvl 63 for new lvl heal.

Erm...solo...unless you're doing it for mats, I wouldn't do it for coinage, there would be better things that could get you coinage.

I know some people with hercs solo, but I think they solo higher instances, which can net you better $$$.

So far for me, with my glacial, I've soloed 1-1 once and 1-2 once.

Never ever going to solo again lol- for 1-1, I turned out about 80k in drops (~25k profit after sub) in about half an hour lol (couldn't find drummer :P)

1-2 I did a few days back...got nothing. Oh wait I did get 1 mirage, 1 perfect stone, a few bones and skeletons. But no big 'drops'.

So yea for money, I'd recommend running with squad- I've had a really really good group (Barb, Veno (me), BM, Cleric) that were doing multiple runs of 1-1 daily.

Pretty awesome, I know 1-1 doesn't net that much money, but we got it down to about 10 minutes per run b:victory so yea earnt a lot there...dunno if these guys are still around (if you're reading this PM me in game :P)

To find out about prices:

Go check AH, open an excel spreadsheet and list like 10-15 of the lowest prices you can find.

Go check catshops around the forges and list their prices.

AH should be approx 10-20% more expensive than prices in catshops. Then that should be about the pricing of that TT mat.

TT1-1 Solo Mode doesn't have much to offer. The drops are not very good because Solo Mode is supposed to be easy (for the obvious reasons) therefore the drops are not as good as in Squad Mode (it was done so that people won't gain the same amount of profit in Solo as in Squad). Sometimes you might be lucky but some other times you won't. I've done Solo Mode for 1-1, 1-2 and 2-1 but the drops where a few and there's also less bosses so you can't really get everything you need.
Besides, TT1-1 is easy and those mats can't be sold for a high price like..TT2-2 mats for example.

I'd suggest that you find a few people who need/want to do TT often/every day. A good squad will make things go fast and you can do multiple runs in a few hours. You will have to share the mats but the squad mode of 1-1 doesn't require sub (unless you want high drop rate and stuff) and also..you can have fun!!!

At the current price of the Herc it won't be very easy to acquire it by level 70 (most of them got it at lvl80/90). You'd have to stop leveling if having a Herc by lvl 70 is a must for you but if you get in your 70s/80s you'll be able to do higher level TTs and gain more profit. One last advice, do not count on TT for money only. If you're saving for a Herc you should consider grinding, farming (mats, herbs) and merchanting as well.

The thing is i didn't get chientien's edge as a drop from the first boss just pieces of skeleton n stuff, i got 2 broken drums from Lord of P, is edge a random drop or do i need to do the harder setting to get it?

All drops are random. Only Chintien drops edges, Drummer drops broken drums. 2 drums is actually pretty good, I've been on single mode 1-1s where I've gotten no edges nor drums quite a few times. (That goes for other single mode TTs as well. The only thing you can really count on is the skeleton pieces (or mysterious skulls, or whatever mat's in the chests in that level), but those aren't really worth much more than NPC price.)

In single mode (and in 1-2 and 1-3 squad mode), Drummer's through the door at the top of the ramp, past all the archers and grudges, then down another ramp. (In 1-1 squad, he's through the other door, past the ragers.)
