Ok so i know theres prob a thread for this already, if not many, but i like starting dialogue.
Wings of protection=worth it yes or no
I asked on my server and i got extreme answers. Some said GOD yes , that it was the secks and totally awsome, some said i was a noob for even wanting it.
I already have enough tokens to buy the pages and have loads to spare, so should i go for it?
also how exatley does it work/tell me of some instances where you loved/hated it

Wings of Protection is more than worth it. It's an instant cast skill that absorbs damage equal to 20% of the target's max HP. It can be great to save a DD that got aggro by mistake, you can use it on a barb that's pulling mobs in FC, or if you PvP you can use it to absorb an Ultimate or tank a sparked attack giving you time to put your enemy to sleep or take other defensive/offensive measures. The best thing about it is that it can be used on other targets than yourself, all in all a great skill.
(Also get Guardian Light when you're able, it's a truly amazing skill to have. It may be self cast only but that instant cast -60% damage can really save you.)0 -
I agree this skill is a must it has saved me more times than i can remember and is great during runs.0

I'm known for being broke in-game all the time.
However, buying Wings of Protection is something I will never regret getting.
Its more than useful.
Unlike Plume Shell which consumes mana and can only be cast on yourself,
Wings of Protection (WoP) does not consume the targets MP and can be cast on anyone.
Its great in many instances such as FC if a barb is pulling mobs.
Or if you have to pull, just put WoP and Plume Shell together.
(Its very useful in pulling bosses in FB/BH 79 if you have the only zeal, you're not one shot then!)
A cleric without WoP is like having a cleric without heals at this point of the game.
Definitely get it.

Definetely get it, just look at how much a good archer spams it and how much it helps them.
Its amazing for TW, times where you want to protect a veno pulling a boss, when Plume is in cooldown and evrything else.
Only downside is its sucky cooldown.Originally written by Satchiko to me regarding old spice commercial :
Hello Perfect World. Look at your cleric, now back to me, now back to your cleric, now back to me. Sadly it isn't me. But if you stopped being a noob and started wearing sunglasses you could act like you're me. Look down, back up, where are you? You're on Dreamweaver with the cleric your cleric could be like. What's in your hand, back at me. It's an inventory filled with the gear you want. Look again, the gear is now diamonds. Anything is possible with sunglasses. I'm flying on starter wings.0 -
I got both of the 79 skills, and I definitely use WoP more than Guardian Light. I'd definitely get it if you can.
Wings of Protection is really good in squad because you can cast on others, I've found Guardian Light to be useful in PvP & PvE.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

WoP is awesome for casting on barbs/tanks when they are pulling halls in FC as well. Also nice to chuck on a cata barb in TW[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Thanks for the sig Ophida0 -
where does a cleric get the wings of protection?0

Also a tip; WoP + plume shell = sexiness
Plume shell cuts the damage you recieve, making WoP last a lot longer.Kimmybear - Harshlands wrote: »where does a cleric get the wings of protection?
It's a level 79 skill, you need the skillbook to learn it which costs 20 apocalypse pages and 10 medium ink.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

yeah i tried dueling sins with it already....HUGE difference, it did like ...20 damage to me with both skills on it. Hehe, my one question is <,< will the two stack with gaurdians light <,<Yeah my sig doesn't match my name...i would say im being all clever and trying to confuse people...but im really just too lazy to make a new one

yea it will, GL got that turtle like icon..although it might not be a very good idea against phys classes, seeing as they do 20 damage with plume shell and WoP..0 -

It would cut the MP drainage by quite a bit, though it might be better to save GL until WoP + plume shell run out.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I never stack those skills in PvP, if you do it leaves you defenseless once they're out because of cooldowns. Don't get me wrong, you still have your heals which can help against magic classes but against a good melee class... having shell on cooldown and being unable to use those is a horrible idea.0

One thing I just found out and what I really like from the skill is does not get aggro like healing does, so you can cast it anytime regardless the amount of mobs the target is fighting, and if he has aggro on them.
Quite useful skill PvE and PvP wise. Worth getting it. The only drawback is the 3 minute cooldown.Sliding we go, only fear on our side. To the edge of the wire and we rush with the tide.

I'd recommend getting both if possible, but if you can only get one...get WoP b:chuckleb:victory0

I just got it for my cleric the other day, and I've been using it like bad crazy. PvP-wise it's super, and even in FC to give your barb that added security. I'd defiantly get it. b:cute0

I remember having to cough up a considerable amount of money for Wings of Protection, but it was damn well worth every coin. I've never regretted it... it's saved quite a few barbs in FCC since it buys time for IH to work on them and restore their hp. GET IT!Syredrae ~ lvl 100 Cleric (main character)
Auryl ~ lvl 100 Venomancer
Mainas ~ lvl 80 Barbarian
Suirune ~ lvl 2X Psychic0
