Not really.
The pet skill Flesh Ream generates as much aggro as any other pet skill which causes damage. It does however cause bleeding like the Barbarian's one. Unlike the Barbarian's though pet Flesh Ream won't steal aggro immediately.
Pet flesh ream doesn't generate anywhere near the aggro that barb flesh ream does. It's mostly a PvP skill; the bleed isn't PvP reduced. For aggro building, go with one of the 8 second skills: bash and the so-called elemental bashes (icicle, fireball, lightning bolt, toxic mist or sandblow.)
Basically, FR for veno's is a pvp skill. FR has a feature/bug/whatever where it behaves the exact opposite of all other pet skills. Against players it doesn't suffer a pvp damage reduction like bashes do but against mobs it suffers from level mitigation while bashes (and pet melee) don't.
Additionally, there's a longer cooldown on FR vs Bash which means even if FR worked the way it was supposed to it still wouldn't keep up as well as Bashes would.
