Fist Veno Fox Form? GM response please

I heard somewhere they were going to make Veno/Barb able to use Fox/True form while wearing a fist. is this true? and if so, will they be able to use their fox skills while transformed, too? really wanna hear an official response.

    If they did, then they would have to add fist mastery to our skill lists in order for us to be able to use our skills, and that would just be ripping off BMs. So the answer is most likely "no".

    Not official but I'm willing to bet $100 that it's BS. What you probably heard was the glitch where a barb/veno breaks their weapon, switches to fox/true form (since a broken weapon counts as being barehanded), and then repairs the weapon while it's still equipped.

    It's highly impractical which is why you don't see many people doing so but there's supposedly another glitch which allows one to bypass the 'break your fists' step. I'm not sure whether or not it works since I've never tried but regardless, once you repair the weapon in fox/true form then you're unable to use any skills so you'd be stuck in that form until you either log off or break your weapon again.

    hm... i wonder what the thing is that lets you bypass the durability thing then... i wouldnt mind trying out a full melee Veno sometime.

    If he did say that, then they shouldn't ever ban someone for exploiting any glitch. The Cube room 1 pk glitch included...

    it would be purely for recreational use, and wouldnt be for use in any way to gain anything. i've never been one for pvp, it was just something i wanted to try ever since i first created a veno.

    It would unbalance the class as designed and I doubt the dev would make fist skills.What about other Classes only the BM uses fists and it should stay that way?

    The most i could possibly see them doing, is removing the weapon requirement for fox form & true form spells. That or allow changing of equipment while in beast form. I dont think they will ever make the skills compatible with fists.

    You want to look at it this way Elves have Wings which should make them the only one who can fight in the air or use their wings to fight with.Tideborns in Tideform can't use skills in this form should this be changed.

    I've got a level 75 veno that I've purely used fists on. If you press the fox button and switch to claws at the same time it will equip the claws and go into foxform. Gotta say its pretty darn good with barely effort.

    i'd say rumors...

    but pure foxform veno are still kinda unplayable unless you spend lots of money...
    arcane/melee or low hp heavy...
    skills don't have % weapon damage and most status alignments are rather useful/dont even work on some bosses...
    bloodpaint would be nice...

    This STILL isn't common knowledge? Geeze.

    Ok - things you need to know:
    1. Even with demon spark, it's not as good as being a BM.
    2. Though... you can use a pet for more damage and petskills. But you can't even HEAL your pet.
    3. It is, almost certainly, a bannable exploit.
    4. There are two ways to do it.

    The way that always works, but takes ages:
    1. Human form.
    2. Equip a fist.
    3. Fight stuff until it breaks.
    4. Switch to fox. (The patch that let you change forms whilst weapon is broken is the time this exploit was introduced)
    5. Repair fist.
    6. Go wild. You're now a fox with a fist, until such time as the fist breaks again or you log out.

    The less reliable, but much easier way:
    1. Set 'go fox' to a hotkey.
    2. Set 'equip fist' to a different hotkey.
    3. Slam them both simultaneously.


    (Edit: Fox / Tiger, obviously. Also - this works for all weapons, except bows/crossbows/slings - which you can equip this way but not actually fire.)
