This is beginner's forum, so there are no stupid questions ;)

If you kill monsters or do some quests, you will get both, experience and spirit. Experience is for upgrading you character's attributes, spirit for upgrading your skills.

You will find information (including current amount of spirit) about your character by pressing button "c" ingame.

You can learn new skills from the "Blademaster XXX" NPC located in your home town and in some other towns. You can find him using your map - there is a small round green button which shows you the NPCs which are around.

I forgot to tell write that im playing on Dreamweaver, I don't know if that matters or not.
Still, it was very helpful! Doubt, I still wonder, why I cant see the green buttons on my Mini-map.
But is he in Etherblade City? Thank you!

In this special case it does not matter on which server you are. But it is of importance, if you want to meet special people or join factions (you cannot join factions on other servers; the same for players).

The green button is not directly on your map. I think I did not explain it very well. It is more at the border of your map. I made a screenshot for you:
    btn.png

If you click it, you will get a list of coordinates. Double-clicking on any coordinate will set a waypoint on the map ("m" button) and gives you an arrow pointing in the direction of the coordinate.

And yes, since you are a Blademaster having Etherblade as home town, you will find your NPC in Etherblade.

If I'm reading this right, you're looking for the way to put skills onto your shortcut bar.

That's very simple. Open the skill window ("R" key), and just drag the skill to your shortcut with the mouse. Works with the other actions ("E" key) as well, and you can also drag things like potions there.
Slow progress, game is getting way too grindy :-( Quests I still hope to be able to do some day: FB39, General Feng
