For a beginner I would say Veno is the best to start with and just get used to the game.

Venomancer is a fantastic soloing class, but some of the pet-related skills and abilities can be confusing, such as needing to go to the pet skill trainer instead of the venomancer trainer to upgrade your pet heals. I would suggest barbarian or blademaster, something simple that has enough hit points to survive a mistake but doesn't require any funky tactics like kiting.

Regardless of what you pick, browse the class forums for guides and check them out. Higher level people have already made mistakes and tested what works, and their advice can help you figure out what you want to do with your character and avoid unnecessary confusion or frustration.

Also, Welcome! If you end up picking Dreamweaver, feel free to say hi!

    Jeigo is right
i would take a damage dealer class (all classes except of cleric and barb) but not wizard or sin because they die too fast at early lvs. blademaster or archer would be a good choice for a new player i think

Lol, all classes die fast at early levels.
I suggest you to pick the veno like the above poster said t'll you get used to the game, if you dont like it you can pick anytime other class to try it out.

I started about a month ago myself, and so far Veno is a pretty good solo class. Since you work with a pet, it's like having two characters fight at once (you can let the pet tank and as long as it does'nt die you won't take as much damage).
