Suggestions for people complaining about the anniversary mount

"I want the free mount on one of my alts, not my main."

The only way this could be the case is if your main already has an 11 m/s mount.

Suggestion: Give your main's mount to your alt, use the anniversary mount on your main.


"But my alt isn't high enough level to use my main's mount."

Suggestion 1: You should be able to hit level 20 (the level required for most mounts) in one weekend. If that is not fast enough, PWE has added lots of ways to speed up leveling since the game first started.

Suggestion 2: Level 40 or 60 take a bit longer, but you can always have your main use the free mount, sell your main's mount, and use the money to buy a level 20 max speed mount. The level 40 and 60 mounts typically cost considerably more than the level 20 mounts, so you should be able to do this without having to spend extra money.


"PWE is forcing me to buy an account stash stone."

They are doing nothing of the sort. As pointed out above, you have other options to get mounts for both of your characters without having to spend any money. If you choose not to use those options and buy an account stash instead, then that is your choice. You are not being forced to buy an account stash stone.


"But my main's mount looks cool, while the free one is bleh. I don't want my main using the free mount."

Again, that is your choice. PWE has given you a free mount. What you choose to do with it is up to you. If you choose to do something with it which restricts your options to the point where an account stash stone is the only solution, then you have chosen to buy an account stash stone. You are not being forced to buy one.


"But they moved mounts to different characters last year."

5 years ago gas was $1.80 a gallon. What do you think the gas station would say if I complained about them charging me $3.00 a gallon when they were "only charging $1.80 a gallon in the past"?

Just because a company or a person did something in the past, it does not obligate them to continue doing so in the future.


"You suck. PWE sucks. This is so unfair. Why should I suffer because of my specific circumstances when others are able to enjoy the free stuff they got?"

Then delete the anniversary mount ticket. You will be no worse off than you were back in August. If you were happy back then, and are no worse off now, then after deleting your mount you should be just as happy as before. Any suffering you feel is completely of your own making.

Remember, a gift is a gift. It is bestowed upon you completely as a token of goodwill by the giver. It does not mean you deserve to get it. If your mind can somehow take that token of goodwill and twist it into PWE doing bad things to you, then perhaps it is fitting that you are unable to utilize the free mount. You clearly do not deserve it.

    Don't forget that virtually no one uses land mounts except to gather mats or to afk in arch or something.

    I had a bulbfish (my first mount) on my archer... I rode that fishie everywhere. I mean everwhere. If there was a mountain in the way, I found my way around that sucker. b:angry
