Hey. Will there be a new PWI expansion in the future? Does anyone know? Maybe other PW versions already have or something... :o Or will PWI be abandoned (forsaken lol!) once Forsaken World comes out? o.o

I can't say anything officially except that PW and FW have different dev teams, meaning that FW's release won't affect PWI getting love, support, and new content :)

I doubt Forsaken World will make more money than PW. Therefore, PW will not be abandonned as long as we have lots of cash shoppers b:sad

Something like this? (the hidden and/or abandoned Guild HQ map/feature, which is a promised feature for Forsaken World now)
There's also some information in the game files for an instance that has never been implemented in PWI, not even put in the game but broken, like some instances.

Someone on my server found that guild HQ thing once same way people found Raging Tide before the expansion. So it exists in game, just no way to get to it.

That is technically impossible as the only way to get to that area is to pass the "restricted" wall which is both client and server enforced, and the area that it is in, you cant move around in, so they are bsing when they said they found it, that map though has existed as a seperate instance since the begining of pw..., just look in maps\b05, thats what its for... (well unless you actually have something to view the map looking at the files there doesnt prove anything, but just saying...)

Black Sand Palace you mean; that one wasn't even in PW1 game client, yet there might be hope to bring it back as "Future Content" (coming to think of it, what is the purpose of the "Shrine of the tides" ?)

And no, I didn't mean the "southern castle" on the world map, but the actual b05 map, to which no world map portals exist (except the GM teleporter NPC).

Still doesnt change the fact you cant move in that area

Actually... there is a copy of most instances somewhere on the world map, most of them you cant move in, but b05 doesnt even load when the server starts, the GMs here have no way to get to it, and if you look in the client files then client doesnt even acknowledge that it exists... (to actually be able to go to b05 you have to edit client AND server files for it to work...)

That looks more like it was originally going to be a class, but it got taken out.

Every game I've played has had hidden classes somewhere in the game files that were going to be classes but got taken out before the game was released.
    Items
Types: Blademaster, Wizard, Monk, Barbarian, Venomancer, Archer, Cleric, N/A魅灵, Manufacturing, General Skill,
    Cinnabar, Pet, N/A2008资料片新加技能, Assassin, Psychic

    wtf?

An "anti-Sin' would be great. However, I don't see what other class archetypes are there to add to the game? We have a healer, an archer, a tank, a debuffer/pet master, a flexible melee off-tank/DD, DPH mage, DPS mage, and a rogue/ninja...
What else is there to add?

Any further expansion of classes with the adition of a new race would require at least a new support oriented model, especially if squads will be expanded. The reason is at least some instances would have to tweaked to prevent them from being easily overrun by a 10 man raid (common sense would indicate rewards should be upped as well, but this i'm not so sure about) and ideally some new content added. This would increase the demand for Barbs and Clerics rather than alleviate the situation by allowing more people to participate on a run. A support class could work against the current imbalance (only 2 of currently 8 classes being absolutely necessary to run most instances without extraordinary gears or significant level difference) and not heavily impact the current role of clerics. For example a class that could reduce the channel/casting and cooldowns of skills for other classes could effectively allow a Wizzie to play the role of healer, and be very attractive for even squads already having a Cleric in them, given they could greatly increase the role of DDs and benefits to timed damage boosts. Another way to go would be to make a class that can to some limited extent fulfill a cleric's function, much in the same way BMs can substitute for Barbs in some circumstances.

However, i must express the opinion that any adition in classes is unlikely to improve the current PvE balance. The present system could be much improved with relatively small changes (Wiz heal, BM's aggro skill) and that these have been neglected so far (long after the TB have been released) makes it very unlikely they'll be looked into in the future.

So, while this hypothetical new adition would certainly improve the game (the TB brought PQ and Nirvana, aside from new areas and the two new classes) it is likely to have a huge negative impact by adding two more DD classes to a game with only two classes pecialized in tanking and healing.

There is already one, its called a cleric... (Heaven's Wrath is the skill...)

On a side note... if they do make a new race, one of the classes needs to be support, as a cleric can already be pushed the limit as is, they just might asplode if they have to deal with 9 people if handling 5 is a nightmare...

You seem to have missed the point. A Cleric substituting for a Cleric? "Hey guys i won't be using any heals on this run but i'll set Red Bubble so the wizzy can spam Morning Dew."

This game could use a good crowd control class, i was seriously hoping that psychics would end up being like most psy classes in other games.
Like various aoe debuffs and status effects, but weakish aps in general.

Maybe oracles? :O you never see oracle classes. lol *wishful thinking*

Indeed, when I first heard the name "Psychic", I hoped for a real controller in the ranks of Blademasters, but in the end we got just a DPS mage b:sad

And from the looks in the old code, Monk was supposed to use the staff weapon, which could have been the 4th pole weapon available to the BM as well.

Has anyone considered maybe a duplicate function different race class for the sake of having a different race? Would be an interesting idea, might do some good, some bad. Just mentioning it because other games I have played have done this and it has made things more enjoyable from the asthetics standpoint, if nothing else.

BMs are not too bad at crowd control, but they are not a true crowd control class like mesmers from GW or controllers from CoH with AoE sleeps, holds, stuns, immobilize, or even confuse (so funny to look at mobs smacking each other). Edit: forgot AoE knockdowns and slows too.
