im rerolling a new veno and im stuck between either pure mag (1 str 9 mag) or heavy vit mag (enuf str and magic for gear, rest in vit) i probly wont be able to afford insane gear so im thinkin the heavy vit might be nice, the only thing holding me back, is how much it might hurt my pet heal, will it hurt it enuf to the pointt where it becomes a problem???? and is there a way to calculate it???thanks.

I'm going to supose you'r not pro or a experience player... so I'll recomend you the mage Pure magic build wich doesn't have to be neccesary 9 mag 1 stre... its the stre neccesary to wear your wep then the rest on magic.... when I say wep I'm refering to a legendary gear and not a **** from blacksmith..... HA venos (Heavy Armor Venos) it's a build that requires a lot of patient specially at low lvls and it's not a build that you use if you are starting..... it's for players with experience that are looking foward for improvements of the race.....besides the pet does the hard work so as a veno you don't really get repair cost or pots cost....you just need to sit back and watch.... if you become a AH veno then you will have high repair cost and pots depending on how you handle the aggro on mobs.....0

He probably means full vit. It really depends on your server, as full vit (1str, 3vit, 6mag) is usually recommended for PvP. What i would advice you to do is to go for something more moderate (7 or 8 mag every two levels) and to see what it feels like. If you feel your attack is lacking or that your pet heal is suffering up the mag on the next level. If you find you need better survivability, add some vit. As long as you don't stat any less than 1 str, 6 mag every two levels it will be alright. I would recommend statting no more than 50 vit or so however unless you have comitted to Full vit as your endgame build, or at least the one you'll be using while farming your gear for a later restat.
Edit, I wouldn't recommend heavily investing on gear before at least 7x at the earliest. Save your coin for later on, 3 stars with good ads should do as well as keeping your pet's main aggro skill up to level.0 -

Usually people refer :
Heavy as using heavy armor
So heavy vit arcane should be changed to vit arcane build and people usually use vit build to help venomancer survive from 1 hit KO or few pew pew that can kill them as pure magic build.
But with decent equipment and the player is good mouse user and fast hotkey/shortcut user, veno doesn't have to worry so much of dead.
(you must avoid thinking pet dead = game over at last learn to survive on these condition)
But if you want to use vit build just like what you say on the 1st post, enough str and mag for equipment and the rest for vit. The con is your pet heal will be weaker which may going to healing pet that tank a boss harder, it's like more survive ability for the veno but lower survive ability for the pet. But you might need these build on PVP server or only do instances & fight boss mobs with squad, i think these build is ok.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Btw, as Blesser said, HA isn't something you start at low. Plus, HA has so high str and dex recquirements + all the mag you'll need to wield a magic weapon up to your lvl, you won't have any stat point left to add vit (and anyways you will also need a lot of stat bonuses on your gear to be able to wear gear of your lvl). If you want hp with such a build, all will come from the vit bonuses on your gear and your refines. Anyways, you can always go vit arcane for now, something like 7 mag/1 str/ 2 vit every two lvls can be nice if you want a decent hp pool without sacrificing too much of your healing abilities.[SIGPIC]http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/image.php?type=sigpic&userid=8149449004&dateline=1294904331[/SIGPIC]

or just dont roll a veno at all.
seriously.
they're messing up HH, and even veno's skills theirselves.
you're probably better off in whatever class you're coming from lol
and not buying a herc+nix and later wishing you hadnt bought thosei'm pro all classes, and against none in particular..
but the age old QQ about venos is just that. OLD.
QQ'd about a nix lately? check out this thread n tell me who's "OP" lol..
