hey can any one tell me something about the element engine that pwe use it for theyr games?

ESO

and i think and FW but i never saw gameplay video so i am not sure so anyone? ... b:pleased

    ok i watched some gameplay video and i think 90% that is the same element engine as pw ... again i am not an expert so can anyone enlight me? b:surrender

    I was going to say that I didn't think it would be... but after watching 2 of the videos on that link it's clearly the same engine. It looks like the new PW development team that was responsible for the TB expansion was given the engine and told to start off from scratch.

    That's sad because the Element Client should be retired. It's very old and dated, but from a business perspective, reusing the engine saves a heap on development costs and makes putting out a 'new' game that much easier.

    Actually i would find the game engine to be an advantage, it's already proven, stable technology that can run on low spec gears. A streamlined and upgraded version that would fix major issues such as Rubberbanding, and support new features (like actual particle collision) would be something attractive to me. While i do realize what we have now are just promos meant to hype up the game it does seem to be on par with other newer offerings when it comes to textures and models. It's nowhere near the game based on Robert E. Howard's fiction, but should be at the upper tier of the f2p market...

    Dan, watch part 2 of that video. It is pretty much PW with different graphics, higher resolution textures and more pastel-ish colors. It looks more cartoon-like, kinda like the new Tideborn areas.

    I stopped watching after he started grinding on mobs in the 2nd part. But yeah, I'd re-roll LC before I'd even consider playing that.

    Yeah actually the bales of hay in the field reminded me of a four letter free game that starts with A and ended with horrible. b:surrender

    I can name off 3 other VERY popular MMOs that ended up having to revamp their entire character's graphics within a few months after release for useing crappy looking ones like those...I might be saying 4 soonish..

    Emos will love it tho.

    Well if I had to start from scratch I would like the time I invest in to kinda be long term.... I don't like switching games often as I hate starting over from scratch. b:bye It was already frustrating enough to see PW turn out the way it has when it didn't have to be like this. I fear investing my time into another PW game will yield the same frustrations that might not even last 1 year.

    Well, i do plan to stay on PW until certain no targetting game gets released, should be 1-2 years... But i'll give Forsaken World a try because it might just have enough of what PW's elements i like, and roaming around a world that isn't all peopled by bored high levels might just be a nice change of pace.

    b:surrender I do agree on the bat thing tho.
