Mold: Light Hat of Devil

Does anyone know if this molds actually in the game? Been looking in AH for about 2 months and nothing. No one Ive talked to has ever seen one either o.o

Anyone know?

    The mold for this item has a 0.0016% droprate from certain normal mobs.

    It doesn't even have good stats so I wouldn't bother searching for it.

    You would think with the older servers been out for 2 years there would be quite a few drops wouldn't you?

    Ummm...no? .0016% drop rate? You could camp those mobs from lvl1-100 and not see even 1 mold drop.

    0.001% [for easier calculation] = 1kill
    0.1% = 100kills
    1% = 1000kills
    100% = 100,000 kills.

    So it'll take on average 100,000 kills to get the drop.

    So, you're saying you can get from 1-100 in 100k kills? And also, I bet [i haven't been on PWDB to check], there are more mobs that could potentially drop it, and counting all the players on the server, there must be quite a few kills.

    Go out to any 7X mob spawn and see if you're not alone there b:chuckle

    There's probably a few around, but personally if I got a drop like that I sure as hell wouldn't sell it.

    The adds on that thing are terrible. I'd rather have a Drum master hat lol. Seems odd that PW makes the shiittiest molds the hardest to find.

    Sleeves of sea captain: 5% drop rate.

    Some terrible hat: .0016%

    But then again, I'm fairly certain that database is player made. Due to the high amount of typos lol. And vastly different experiences I notice in game, opposed to what the database says I should be getting. So the actual % is probably way off.

    Anyways, it's rare, that's for sure. And it sucks, that's also for sure.

    I've seen the manufactured mold in the AH once on the Lost City server.

    Once, in about a year and a half, give or take, if that gives you any idea.

    Basically, as people have said, some of the molds you never see, are because there is an insanely small % chance for the mold to drop from normal, or elite mobs, rather than bosses.

    Talking 0.00xx%'s, so you're talking a one-in-several-thousand-chance.

    But to answer your question, yes, these molds do actually exist in most cases, I have a few of the rarer ones myself, and I've seen a number of the others.

    Or, to my knowledge, "most" exist. Some may have other ways of being brought into the game, like a % chance from a box or pack, I think some of the other rare molds can come from things like the Trophy Modes.

    Anyway, that's just my 2c's.
