@ Exelfine: people who played for a long time and stay on their main, are more likely to help out others, it's the new fast levelers that tend to not care what people think of them. Their char doesn't really mean anything, and what other people think of them means even less. They can start another tomorrow and level it in 2 months to 100. Most lowbies are alts,... they are not that helpless.

Quoted for truth... and the fact that lowbies with high level mains generally don't act like these nubs. You can tell usually just by looking at gear... sure my alts have **** gear until they're 8x... then I can afford to give them better gear than when I had my first char at the same level. I also don't need to beg or ask for help, if I'm too lazy to find it, I just don't do it instead of pestering people to help.

You miss the point again. No, I'm not necessarily proud of myself. Just giving an example of what type of a person I am in-game. On the forums, I'm an **** and I'm the first one to point out when someone else is a fool. Stupid people irritate me. :P

Just because I'm doing well doesn't mean that most others in-game are.

Just because you live in a nice house with a roof over your head and hot food doesn't mean there aren't people in this world that are dying of starvation. You're in your own little bubble so you think everything else has to be fine, but far from it.

I try to help a random person once a day, because I remember what it was like as a noob to have a high level in squad helping. It was a treat. It was awesome.

Same. I always try to make it a point to help at least one person a day. It's not that I get any benefit, like feeling better or whatever, but it might make it nicer for someone else and it doesn't cost anything so I try when I can.
I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.

I like to put stacks of 1 coin in the air along the path to Etherblade right above the height new humans can jump to. That's kind of helping, right? :)
Fist are the worst at PvP AND PvE, if you disagree, as I said, take it to PM's or make your own guide. Go here if you want to debate about it. - Lyndura

It has been quite a while since I last played or checked the forums but it would seem that one of the very few things not to have changed during my hiatus would be the level of your wit, insight, and logic..... it is to be lamented.

I have no hesitation with declining my aid to those that would be rude or disrespectful, or who would seek to exploit my good-will, but with experience and maturity one comes to realize that to help another is, in itself, intrinsically rewarding in more ways than one.

You never see me coming I am the chill that runs up your spine, I am the cold that seeks your bones, I am the thrill of fear you feel when you hear me call.
Can you see my joy to run free? My thrill of the kill the heat of battle
See the shiver as I taste your blood The insane pleasure as I see you die.

Well, new players start at level 1 with only a skill or two. As they level up they learn how to use those skills, get new ones and then learn how to use them.

If you decide to speed level as fast as you can and forgo all of that learning process, suddenly you're a higher level player with no skill.

Is that the fault of the higher level players? Should they be responsible for having to teach these high level nubs how to cope with basic game mechanics or basic skill usage?

I'm sorry, you've got it all wrong.

Of course I help teach newer players how to run in twilight temple, or help them with bosses or their FBs.

It's not my job to tell them how to play their classes. They either need to learn for themselves

lol. Sorry, not here to e-date you or e-impress your e-parents. I'm sure you'll find plenty of cute in-game pixels to cybar elsewhere. b:chuckle
