weeding the players from the newbs

We've all had them, fail squads. For most players it seems to be happening more frequently.

So I propose this, kind of like a squad karma system.

When Squaded in an instance, each player shall receive good or bad Karma depending on the actions committed in accordance to their role in the squad. Leader of squad shall verify karma at the end and decide whether to apply the karma given or deny it.

Ex. if a DD member steals aggro from the tank there is a little bad Karma, if that particular time, it causes a wipe, Even more bad karma.

The more good karma you have, the more bluish an outline around your name will be, the more bad karma you have, the more greenish an outline around your name will be.

Through this system, the niche population of experienced players will be able to find an experienced squad without worries of frequent wipes.

Whereas those who refuse to learn or simply think they know all, will be forced to adapt or simply not find squads for their respective tasks.

Thoughts? Improvements?

There's a first time for everything. Its not a good idea to seperate the good players from the misunderstood ones.Everyone learns from there mistakes and tries to mend those mistakes in his next try.
I failed in fb 19 twice before getting it right because it was my first time.

Yes, lets add a system of elitism to the game, that should do the trick

    /sarcasm

This could be easily abused. Ppl would go on Karma farming runs even if they suck ****. Meanwhile good players can be denied Karma if they are given a squad leader who's a know it all. Imagine the bad karma given to all the good Enrage players by Inventor (HT reference). It simply wouldnt work like your idealizing it.

    ^ This.

Personally, I like this idea. Just not user-controlled. And since it can't really be programmed as a non-user-controlled thing without a lot of flaws, it can't be added.
It's not my job to shut you down on a suggestion. It's a pleasure, though.

I got an idea. When you're in a squad, and you see a good player. Friend request him. Collect a lot of friends that are good at their class. Then squad with them in the future. Brilliant!

It's not a bad idea, but it would force a certain style of play on gamers, which generally conflicts with the freedom of online games (rankings only bring competition, reward-wanting and greed... If you wish for a more altruistic community, think again).

Instances being timed already should deter people who tend to afk in dungeons to not be welcome in exploration parties.

Putting a system such as yours certainly would aim for a more responsible teaming up, but this could also frustrate the general populace (if you notice what the recent changes brought for opinions, you can see what I mean).
Besides, it is possible that more people would ruin runs because this system would be fun for them to mess up.

That is all I can think of for now...
Maintenance time. Please choose a line:
    - When is it over? OMG I need my fix!! *super spazzing*
    - Fix the damn bugs, dammit! I'm so angry! I'll quit!!
    - New codes out there? I like free stuff~ *wink*
    - When will we get new content? QQ
    - Will we get sales? I got a ton of gold to spend.
    - I'm bored, I'll create a useless thread to annoy Opkorock.
    - *Incessant poking on Sweetiebot* Fun~
