Would you get banned?

Well a friend told me a story and I need confirmation.
If someone hacks in to your account (you gave him your info or he somehow found it) and takes all of your stuff, can you file a ticket and get the person banned + get your stuff back? or will the request be ignored. I'm trying to see if I can even help because he knows who **** him.

    GMs arent liable for any theft cases where ToS is breached. Although, if his info was confidential, tell him to open a ticket and see what happens.

    well in this case im afraid it went this way Guy meets girl, Guy is a **** to girl but gives her his info, Girl cleans him out and doesnt look back... So what happens now?

    if you gave someone your details - it's your own fault if your items get taken - this is not hacking

    hacking is gaining access to something WITHOUT the log in details...

    it is also unlikely they will ban anyone as there is only one person's word against the others that he didnt have permission to remove the items.

    learn from the mistake and move on - if you are on a pvp server just pk the individual anytime you see them.

    thanks Shulk although it isnt me personally haha but yeah .. thats why I made this topic in the first place doesnt look like I can do much about it :( too bad she deserves to get banned.

    Yeah, some girl **** me a few months back.. but I didn't giver her my info. She lied to me saying that there was this "Trainer" that only 5 players in the game got. And when they're done with it, you pass it to another player. She said it's supposed to give you 1 Million coins for luck. But she ended up hacking me by stealing information. I was so mad. I got most of my stuff back except my coins and my mounts. It was pretty lame.

    again that is not hacking - you got rolled and keylogged by someone who googled and downloaded a program and emailed it to you - and you then tried to use it to gain an advantage in the game - which is against the rules to use external apps to gain advantage and ingame coins can only be obtained in game via normal questing/grinding/merchanting or gold trading.

    no sympathy from me - you should have realised nothing is free and anything like this is too good to be true. just be glad you didnt also earn a game ban for trying to circumvent the game mechanics

    Only thing that makes me sad is that it takes 7 days to delete a char, cuz your 'friend' pretty much deserved it. Seriously. What kind of disturbed child thinks they're getting anywhere with a chick thru an online game? Besides, tell your friend it wasnt a girl. It was most likely, to the point of near certainty, a dude passing off as a girl. You got man handled.

    Never, under any circunstance, hand your account info. Not even to a friend, as you can get banned for acct sharing. Also, never trust a pixel. If you think you're gonna score points with someone by handing them items, you're wrong.
