Alright how bad have i screwed this up

Alright kids time for a story.

I started my sin doing everything into dex.

Around 24 I realized i had like no strength to carry the light armor i needed so i put two levels of points into it (on a friend's advice).

Later I ran into a high level sin who told me the reason i die every twelve minutes is i have no vit and to put some into it.

So now im level 27 almost 28.

My stats are as follows:

Vit: 8

Str: 30

Dex: 123 (but its prolly lower in reality cause i think my armor is +2 to dex)

How bad have i screwed this up? Everyone tells me something different. Im pretty sick of dying on monsters my level and using health pots like they're a drug everytime i fight one. It takes me like an hour to kill ten things cause i have to heal every friggin time.

Advice? Should I reset and just do it over pure dex or what? My head hurts.

    The extra few VIT you have doesn't really mess up your "pure" build. If you want to keep going pure DEX, your STR should be your level +4 and the rest should be in DEX. So add/stop adding STR til it's your level+4, then do 4 DEX and 1 STR.

    You can choose to go hybrid VIT too if you want, but it's not really needed. I didn't have too much trouble killing mobs at your level. It was actually easier than on my BM at that level. If you have Slipstream, you should be 2-3 hitting mobs. Try bleed, sleep the mob, wait, Slipstream. Yeah you'll take a lot of damage, but mobs should die fast too. The general advice for low level Sin to save pots is to farm for Life Powders. Those take only level 1 apoc skill, 20 Nectars and 15 Golden Herbs to make 5. Each will heal you for more than enough for 10 minutes each.

    Find where the herbs are on this map and either pick them up as you quest or take sometime and farm them when you are bored of questing.

    you'll find a load of golden herbs and nectars in NorthEast of Plume City. For Focus Powder which helps you keep your mp full, salvia and crane herbs are needed. You can find salvia also NE of Plume City and Crane herbs are located along the coastline of Shattered Jade Shore. If you're not comfortable with higher levels there, there are crane herbs SE of Archo.

    At lower levels it is somewhat of a hassle with the health. But once you have Life Powder, you'll be finishing quests in no time.

    Think about it, you start at level 1 with 5 of each stats. 5 STR is (level 1) +4. When you are level 2, you add 1 STR and you are at 6 STR, which is (level 2) + 4 and so on.

    That "high level sin" be fail.
    A few points in vit rarely be the cause nor prevents death.
    Gear, class, & player competence typically determines survivability.

    The only REAL difference it makes (I restatted from vit to 37 vit cap hybrid) is that you may no longer be able to tank lower dungeons. If you can, it will be a lot harder.
