Cyrstalline Magmite> Glacial Walker?

Using the Arcane Robe Guide, and didn't see glacial walker mentioned as a good PvE pet. So which is better? I used the glacial walker on an alt until I was lvl 29, then I quit. :c

    That article is outdated. First that was written in 08/09. Secondly, teartroll is banned and is unable to update it. Now, im not saying everything is outdated, its not a bad intro-to-veno guide.

    I'd ignore the stickies -seriously. They promote fail builds, fail pets, fail techniques and out dated info. You'd have to read through many pages of corrections and still miss the whole picture. Brael is probably the best contributor here, and Solandri provides great info too, but I'd scrutinize it as he has a habit of leaving out important factors.

    I guess I just don't want to be one of those players who wonders if at some point, if I put the wrong points into a stat, or could be using a better pet. I'm not a person who uses a guide 24/7, but I do consider ideas from it.

    for free tanking pets theyre both good but walker is better, however on my veno i quest and grind with a dark wanderer, walker was big and got in the way, and i feel like my dd pet makes questing/grinding faster then a tank pet, and i think the wanderer looks sick, in terms of grinding/normal quests, most pets will do, just some are more efficient then others, and just like the walker can do some lower tt, theres still better free pets out there depending on the bosses you do, so yes theyre both good, but some situations not so much.

    Easy: Don't stat vit, don't stat dex, and only use enough Str for your equips. -That works for HA/ HA Hybrid, and Pure mag builds which are the only ones worth considering.

    Best pets:

    Dark Wanderer is best known land DPS w/o skills
    Scorpion is highest patk land pet
    Eldergoth Marksman is best known range tanker
    Ethereal Inamorato / Celestial Sting are longest range known

    Aside from those, there are the cash shop pets which you could get by with almost exclusively.

    @//Hysterya\ Great first post, i very much agree with you.

    @Mishe/ When commenting on the forum's posters Tweakz forgot to mention that his own contributions usually follow an agenda. He about summed it up on his following post. It speaks highly of you that you based your question on previous research, LA and Full Vit are viable builds in my opinion although i would advice you to further research the subject and not to simply take my word, or anyone's, for it. Remember that if you reach higher levels you'll be able to earn enough coin that restatting won't be prohibitive so don't be afraid to use what build you find more appealing or to modify it to your needs.

    I think he means grabbing gear with +Dex and -requirement .HA doesn't require much DEX anyway

    I would go for the Dark Wanderer instead as in the beginning you will face more physical damage mobs.I am not big on the Glacial Walker.
    Looking for a decent casual understanding Faction.
