Thats right folks, you read that right!
Created a new guild and don't know what to do next?
Members going out of control or want some lounge/forums to relax?
Been leading a guild for a while now but no website?
No worries! All that is about to come to an end!

Q. WTH are you talking about?
A. I shall create a website for your guild, with features like Blog, Forum, Calendar, Photos/Videos uploading and sharing features, etc.

Q. Doesn't that cost a lot?
A. Exactly, if you are going to get a whole domain name, which will be like www.guildname.com type. But the site that I would create will have another extension, eg:guildname.hostname.com

Q. Sounds good, but whats the disadvantage of this?
A. Well, except that the users will have to type a little bit more than just the guild name, I don't see any other disadvantages.

Q. How much time do you need to make one site?
A. Depends on your specifications, but an average of 5-6 working hours.

Q. Is this some advertising of some sort?
A. Nope, not at all.

Q. Well then, what do you want in return?
A. About 5~10 gold or equivalent amount of coins(applicable to lost city server players only) depending on your level of satisfaction.

Q. Whats the system? I don't want to get scammed.
A. I thought of a scam-proof method. I would first make the site, you don't have to pay me till then. After I am done, I would ask you to visit it and tell me if you like it. If you do like it, you will have to create an account in the site and I will provide you Full-Admin access level. After that comes the payment part and once you pay, I shall give the super-admin details, teach you how to be the admin of the site, clear all the doubts if you have any, and say 'Adios'

Q. Why are you doing all these?
A. For starters, I love web-designing/developing to the core and I would love to get busy doing that! One more reason; well lets face it some of us are real poor in-game and something like this would give us a chance to compete with others :D


These are all the Questions I could think of guys! If you have any other questions, please feel free to PM me or post them here! I hope this is allowed since I am not trying to make any sort of real money out of it.

EDIT: I didn't know if this thread belonged to General Discussion or Guild banter since this is the first of its kind type of thread so I posted one on both the forums.
EDIT2: If you have NOTHING useful to post on this thread and you are a low-life troll, please get out of my thread.

    Lol, was thinking the same thing (and OP: if that valkyrja site was made by you your work isn't all that great, just saying.).

    For anyone who needs a guild site, try guildlaunch.
    I'm pretty sure anyone can get a decent site running there in just a few minutes.

    No I am making people pay for the design and the features, not the hosting. Hosting alone takes more than 50$ or something, I'm not even sure.

    It is still advertising unless free unless you pay all hosting fees.

    There's more than enough sites that offer good hosting services for free.

    All I'm trying to do is save some time and energy for people who are interested, with something little in return. How does that bother you? And regarding Valkyrja, the members of the guild liked it so it doesn't really matter if the people who have nothing to do with the guild liked it or not.

    And it takes a bit more than 'few minutes'.

    Corrected ^^ But I have seen people say 'no nothing' so thought this might be valid too.

    I just thought about this today when I was working on the site of a guild in some private server.
    http://valkyrja.spruz.com/ I have nothing to do with customization, its left to the Guild leader(though he hasn't done anything so far).

    Like I said earlier, I am doing this only to save time/money/energy to the guild leaders who are busy with other things, not so good with the Internet, or whatever. The whole thing takes minimum 1.5~2 hours. But whats your point? Should I decrease the price?

    There is a wide range of secure and free websites you can use for your guilds websites. Guildlaunch and mmoguildsites to mention two. I personaly would not use this as there is no contract written out and you can remove the service as and when you please.

    I doubt this thread will remain here long anyway as it is not endorsed by PWI it is classed as illegal advertising if I was you I would edit your first post to prevent that. I applaud your thinking process just you have gone about it in the wrong way.

    I am sorry, I still don't see why it could be classified as illegal. In fact, if you think of this from PWE's view, they are making some extra bucks too, right? But of course, I am no one to say that.

    I am not promoting anything, nor advertising anything(coz that would make you give some real money). I don't even know that spruz site, lol. I just came across it today and got this idea.
    ONCE AGAIN, I am just offering some service and nothing else.

    Your example there is not very impressive. It takes very very little skill to produce something to that effect.

    Hate to rain on your parade... but best of luck. There are many free sites that a person can easily make their own guild site on. Like Lenore said, the example (although apparently not customized by that guild leader) is pretty low quality. I used to run my own website and dish out attractive sites (and sometimes hosted them for free) for other people on request. But hey, if this works out for you, then cool beans.

    I AM NOT CHARGING FOR THE HOSTING OF THE SITE. All I am trying to say is that, I am saving some time, energy and money for the guild leader who has other things to take care of and who is willing to give out a little money!!
    You can consider the example of a pizza boy. He neither makes the pizzas nor does he take responsibility if the pizza is bad. All he does is deliver it to your door-step. You can say to him 'LOLUMAD I HAVE A BYK I CAN GET MY OWN PIZZA I DONT HAVE TO TIP YOU' but you are going to waste your time doing that right? Thats exactly what I am doing here. Why is it so difficult to understand? Or am I just saying it wrong? Of course I am not comparing my work with that of a pizza-boy's work but you can understand it like that, if you can't understand it any other way.

    And regarding the 'low quality', what exactly is not right? There's all the features that a gaming site should have. The site is pretty secured, meaning the members have to be approved to view the full forums and they can view only 'Application' part of the forums. Looks, it can be changed anytime. All you have to do is select a good theme from a list of themes or get your own theme. Is there anything 'low quality' about the Interface? Or the way it works? Please let me know if thats the case. Don't judge a book by its cover.

    Anyone can design a site these days. Its the innovations and ideas that make a site good.
