    I dont see why this is bad they need to bring packs back or the game will be unbalanced with all the gear that is allready out there and not haveing a way for newer players to get it if your going to quit over that you should have just quit the day anni packs came out gold on harshlands is going down and if it stays low this will be fine im told coral packs have a bad drop rate and better items so i would rather have that then tiger packs and if it stays in the cash shop there wont be a real reason for gold to go up

    And the fact that some/most endgame gear is available in packs and unavailable to obtain through normal means is pretty stupid in itself.

    I just find the amount of hypocrisy to be...OVER 9000!!!

    On one hand they're telling us they slashed TW rewards for the greater good of fighting inflation, and then right after that, they introduce permanent packs and platinum charms.

    Honestly once I hit lvl 100 or whenever I get tired of logging in, or just run outta things to do I'm gonna go play something else. Already have about 20 other games lined up to chose from.


    Though I am happy to see them finally put the plat charms back in and for good.

    If it wasn't for them trying to use battling inflation as a reason for killing TW pay, I'd be fine with this. Platinum charms perm is a good thing to me, and at least they are finally admitting the packs are permanent.

    For you to say this, you assume these things:

    1. New players can only get gear via packs.
    2. You'll settle for Coral packs because it isn't as bad as tiger packs.

    1. It's called grinding and questing, you know, the BRAND NEW way to get your gear, as opposed to cash shopping, which has existed since the beginning of time. And just to insult your intelligence like you insulted mine with your FLAWLESS argument, YES THAT WAS SARCASM.
    2. This is where I start doubting your critical thinking. You're picking the lesser of two evils when by far the optimal choice is to have no evil at all? Sounds like you've been into American politics for a long time (Republicans and Democrats), and judging by your uncanny ability (or lack thereof) to look for real long term solutions, you're a Republican?

    Well the jones blessings were also meant to be available ''indefinitely'' and look how that turned out...

    I guess it's not permanent, but we'll be looking at a good few months before it gets removed again.

    Both actually, but I guess JJ will/should be removed sooner with all the complaints going on.

    People seem to be rather content with plat charms in the boutique so who knows how long they will drag that out.

    This is what i raged about ingame and on forum till they banned me from the forum and then chatbanned me in game because I was just dumbfounded by the HUGE amounts of hypocrisy in just plain lying to our faces that they are "battling gold prices" by removing TW salary yet they cram more packs down our throats and now "indefinitely" add them to the boutique.

    JJ Blessings = +30 attack, this has made people ***** alot because they didn't add the +30 defense to counter it. If they readjust it to add the counter, then no ******** will occur and ppl will be fine.


    The plat charms? PWE just found a new source of income because A LOT of players love the amount of HP/MP the plat charms have on them.

    I mean personally I can drag a gold HP charm out for about a month use, but if I go and drag out a plat HP it lasts about 3 months. Whereas I still have a single plat charm FROM THE LAST TIME they did plat HP/MP sale and it still has over 900k MP on it. :/

    All of this made me appreciate other things more and play a lot less, so it isn't all that bad. It might be time to look for another hobby anyway.

    off-topic = it doesn't help the mods, devs, financial team, companie shareholders, and the sort. We did have a few OT posts but nothing too serious.

    I think the charms are going to stay, cash shop charms are just too good to pass up for those cash shoppers who now have nerfed TW pay.

    and then would run off and buy a thousand of them.


    The fact that they will now always be available, I think they'll end up selling less, since there's no rush to buy them, just get them whenever.

    I partially agree here, but all that the indefiniteness does is turn the sharp influx and sharp declines of packs into a gradual rise in number of packs, items, and a gradual rise in inflation. In the long term it will damage the economy infinitely more than those short, sharp influxes.

    yeah i grinded to 94 and got all of my gear thats sharded and +4-5 without cashshoping but for things like the event boots/capes/helms/wpns/ and the other junk they have it would be unfair to others that have no chance at all to get them just because they joined a little late or did not have the coins at the time to buy something from another player try fighitng a guy with all the event gear from packs and all the nice gems in it with crappy gear it will not turn out 2 good i hate packs but after the first time they made anni packs they had to add more or make it so people can farm the items and what do you think a company who was made to make profit will do? packs to make alot of cash or use there money to add content that will stop people from paying them for there game?

    Your idea works in theory, but it just assumes that people won't exploit it. Which isn't going to happen.

    PWE is one of the biggest gaming companies in the world, and formerly CRUSHED the Dow in bottom line. Your argument for financials work if the company is about to go belly up in 2 years, (HAHA IT IS NOW! Short this company guys.) but when you look at the company's former growth it just doesn't make sense. I think PWE is just trying to sustain their ROI, even though it's impossible: the larger the company, the smaller its rate of growth in %.

    Packs were always here. They're not gonna frigging leave, either.
    Although there are probably many people who have quit, are quitting, and will quit because of the increasing advantage cash shoppers have over people who actually play, and grind the old school way, obviously, it's unlikely that PWE will side with those who play the game against those who make the paychecks possible.

    Complain to your heart's content, but the people who care can't do anything about it, and those whose money (and thus to some degree, opinion) PWE relies on, don't care.
