land mount feeding

In next two hours i will be the happy owner of a land mount but I'm wondering about feeding land mount. The mount is lvl 11 so is there any point to feed it?

    If your mount is full you only have a 10% chance to get knocked off if a mob attacks you while on it, as compared to (I think) 30% when its loyalty is down.

    If you have a tome equipped it will stop your mount from losing any loyalty (but you will still need to feed it initially if you want to raise that loyalty) but all in all I'd say it's not really that big a deal if you don't feed it.
