Elemental Question :)

Please excuse the low low lvl of this new character :)

Should a wizard focus on mastering one specific element (ex: full fire skill only wizzie) or would it matter if said wizzie uses a little of each element (ex: some fire skills for the AoE and water for some damage skills)? All opinions are appreciated :D

A wizard should utilize all of his or her skills, not just one element, nor some of each element. As you level up higher, your skills will be more powerful, especially the level 59 skills (lots of AoE). You could focus on one element, but that gimps your damage capability, since each element has its special effects (fire has a pushback skill, water has slow, earth has blinding, stun, and seal). Since you'll need a previous spell to learn the next spell of each element, you will eventually have to learn them all if you want the high damage AoE skills.

    Hope this helps.

I think, if you seriously want to be cheap and learn the bare minimum needed to function for 9x pvp, you'd have to max:

    pyrogram
    gush
    distance shrink
    force of will
    blade tempest
    stone barrier
    divine pyrogram
    essential sutra
    wellspring quaff (lvl 5)
    Dragon's Breath
    undine strike

And then you could leave all other skills at lvl 1 or unlearned.

Did I miss anything? lol. Theoretically it looks pretty workable, and you could prolly get quite a lot of kills with only those skills maxed. And pve you just gush/pyro/fow/repeat.

Could probably save like 10 million + coins and spirit like this. b:laugh

no nukes? Sandstorm and either MS or BIDS would be a must. I guess I'd like to add sleep, as that is the best way to hold someone still so you can bypass their charm with an ulti.

Agreed with Androit u missed out sandstorm (it totally makes barbs weep ) and BIDS ( again a wiz isnt gona deal much dmg to a barba with a blade tempest) plus soporiphic whisper is a life saver sleep ur opponent and then unleash an ultimate and he goes kabooom

Well this is assuming you have sage gush/pyro, which makes sandstorm pretty useless unless you shell out several million coins to get the book + learn the skill.

Anyway extreme budget wizzy builds aren't much of a good idea in the first place I guess :p

I'd add glacial snare as well. 80% slow is almost as good as freeze or stun on melee classes, and at lvl 10/sage/demon, it's a very powerful nuke for not having any chi requirement. Also stone rain may as well be maxed, either for faster channeling/semi-nuke (sage) or chance at stun (demon), and it's a fairly common book since it drops in fb89.
