Does anyone know the formula to exp share in parties?
All I know is that you get 10% more per person in the party, so a party of 4 get 40% more experience, divided amongst the 4 people according to the mystical formula that you're seeking.

[Forum] Mikako: So, squad of 6 (so long as highest and lowest are within 10 levels of eachother) it is 160% divided by 4? Mob w/ 1000 XP and 6-man squad = 1600XP/4 =266xp each?

PW don't have bonus exp & spirit gain on squad, too bad
That why people tend to solo if not on instance or hard or long boring quest b:surrender
And also lowering the income, if squad outside instance b:laugh

Exactly. I ran into so many people that didn't want to squad because they "don't want to get less exp". When you are squaded with someone, you get more than half of the exp per mob and you kill twice as fast.

Even if you two attack the same mob, you kill twice as fast, so half the money from each mob but you'll kill twice as many mobs over time...

No. The "divided by 4" was for his example with a 4 man party. In a 6 man party it gets divided by 6. Somehow you got the correct answer, despite writing the wrong equation though. (1600/6=266xp)

There is some amount of bonus EXP for grinding in parties, even duke says so b:laugh We used to grind in parties back in ye old days cuz it did yield quite a bit more EXP per hour then soloing. ( i remember clocking like say 2.6% EXP per hour @ 89 at fish in prty as opposed ti 1,8% solo.

i dont get it, how the hell you get more exp in a squad?

example, you have 2 ppl in a squad, cleric and a barb,
the barb do the kills, and the cleric heals only,

so both come out with less exp each, as if they would solo this :/

ok, when you look at it as exp for both characters together, yea they get more exp,
but in this way you dont kill faster at all and each of them dont really have a EXP profit form that b:surrender

Ok that makes sense, but what about level difference? Can someone tell me the "numbers" for these?

As a barb, I find that I kill much faster when supported by a cleric. At minimum, I don't need to meditate to recover health, I don't need to spend pots on health, and I can spam normal attacks without using a lot of MP. If the cleric does more than just spam heals, he can be a nice DD that complements my tanking skills.

In addition, we each can benefit from party buffs by being in a squad.

I get more EXP/Spirit by completing quests than I do from killing mobs. So in a 2 person squad, I have to personally kill half as many mobs to complete my quest. I can complete quests much more quickly. The experience for completing quests is not shared.

If the mob they're fighting is so tough it requires a barb to tank and a cleric to spam heal, then I don't see how they could have soloed the mobsb:surrender So they are indeed making EXP profit (something is better than nothing :P)
