Yeah as you can see im level 60 and im a archer. completely useless, a cleric can kill a enemy faster then me WTF is up with that? So whats good about archers at all? nothing.

    You're probably not going about it right.

    Some problems people encounter: Having too much str, vit and mag, not using the best gear and bow/xbow/sling for their level or that they spam too many skills.

    Really, the only skill you need is knockback. The rest of your attacks should be normal ones.

    Also, a vast majority of mobs after 60 are magic based and it's no surprise that a caster class such as Clerics can kill them pretty fast.

    When u kill a mob, just use frost arrow. Then normal attack. Normal Attack is better then using skills. Unless they are a series of quick take aims and quickshots.. ANd be 1 str 4 dex.
    AP classes are a real butt pounding...

    what i do is shoot take aim and then use frost and knockback and whatever other skills, works pretty well 4 meb:pleased

    I actually know the OP, he was just recently my the leader of my past faction. o.O


    Anyway, what I usually do (and what do I know, my only char is my level 32 archer) is to use regular attacks, but opening with the shield/mana buff. If facing a melee enemy, use knockback and some kiting, and if really desperate, frost arrow with more kiting. And sometimes I finish off with winged pledge if I don't want to wait the 3 seconds for me to finish off my melee enemy.

    Also, I use my metal damaging attacks(lightning strike and thunder) for wood elementals. And one thing I always keep in mind is to always use skills when mana is full, having a full mp bar wastes mp regen(even if it's a measly 1mp/s).

    That's my 2 cents, now, gotta get back to gathering pig iron. -_-

    I love how everyone just assumes OP is a troll. -_- Really, guys? With all the knee-jerk cynicism running through the community lately, it's starting to look like this game is seriously dying (because that's the pattern I've seen before).

    But I digress... the point is, OP, if you're having fun, you're not "worthless." If you need advice on how to kill things faster, you've definitely come to the right place (all the damn math majors are here... XD). But it's entirely possible to have fun with this game without comparing yourself to others.

    First of all, get a Jones' Blessing if you haven't yet. Second, ... i dunno, hes a mage class and mage classes do more dmg then anyone. (By Mage i meant all spellcasting classes).

    Elamdrae - level 51 wizard : active
    Peilius - level 14 assassin : active
    Kirviuks - level 53 blademaster : retired

    And many others...

    At least 2 of each class...

    He got it right.

    If you have a weapon up to your lvl and a decent build (to me, best one being 4 dex/1 str per lvl), you pretty much not have to use any other skills while grinding/doing quest. First, shoot Frost Arrow, normal shots til the mob gets close to you, Knockback, normal shots again. But usually they even die before reaching you except ig they are particularly fast. If you still have much troubles with that, then roll another class cause you fail :D

    My advice is level up. @ 6x you barely start to notice your crits as pure dex. This is when they first become common whereas you can almost assume you'll be critting. By 8x you'll be killing mobs 1 on 1 faster then a cleric(unless they went for alot of channeling >_>). Then by latter levels maybe besides sins/fist bms you're the fastest 1v1 killer out there. AOE grinding we rank a bit lower due to our lack of constant aoes (except barrage) but still, 6x isn't really the point where you can "judge" a class. In all honestly not until you're 8x+ can you really judge a class :x Just my opinion.

    How can you not have fun if a Cleric is pwing you in PvP pre 90s? Sounds like this game is a complete waste of time to him.

    My archer is only 31 but with fb29 I just feel like I'm a bleed affect that never goes away on the boss.

    Though I've saved the cleric more then once when melee mobs get pulled by aggro and the tank is to slow or doesnt see the mob slip away.

    The thing is Clerics have to use mana for anything they do so they need those high hits.

    I love the fact that most mage mobs can only get 0-1 hit on me and as of my level I only use about 2 to 3 skills to kill them.

    My only problem is chi it's so slow to get up.
