Benefits of Sage and Demon

Can somebody tell me the benefits of both sides?


Only reason I ask is because I recently restarted my archer alt, and he's low lvl (below 10 atm), but I want to know which to go for. This way I know which books to buy for him when my BM gets to higher lvls.

    Most people will tell PvP - Demon // PvE - Sage but at the end of the day it's what your style of play is.
    You should take a look at the link and decide for yourself, me personally for example would choose Sage because of the Chi recovery, defensive skills and it's suited for my kinda PvE style play.

    Well, Sage looks to be better thanks to the chi gaining power (would be like sin almost).

    Demon does seem a little more geared towards the PvP side.....

    Trouble is deciding if i'm gonna make him PK or PvE..... :/

    Ive been both sage and demon (switched culti)

    Demon is far easier and more beneficial to play in PvP and also higher dps in PvE (if you're using bow).

    Its much harder for an average geared sage archer to take down LA + Arcane users 1v1 since you dont have Quick Shot and +10 % crit buff. Takes a lot more work. Demon you just use Stun arrow + Quick shoot and poff dead. Its more easy mode and i like that b:surrender

    What i miss from being Sage is TW. I always had chi to re-open Barrage after getting stunned by BMs. Using 20% ST on high hp targets was very useful and beneficial to everyone in party.

    Than these small things like not having to use the genie skill Cloud Eruption for chi all the time. Always being able to WoG + Metal skills. Also 1 shooting terrible squishes with sage Take Aim and having more base attack. Sage spark saves charm in pve as well when tanking stuff and than yeah 20% ST is good for farming since Blood Vow has freaking 5 min cool down.

    I would personally not go sage as archer unless i knew i had coins for rank 8 tho. With rank gear you kinda get the crit and interval back you loose as sage, you can also get 5.0 base with perma sage spark which is pretty amazing for pve.

    TigerLily: Well, considering idk how much cash i'm willing to dump into this guy....his gear will probably be quest/TT until I get him to lvl 80 or so. Then I might consider actually giving cash into his gear and amp him up majorly for PK (if I get a certain bow >_>).....but PvE works fine for him for now, so i think i'll just let him be sage.

    This reminds me of another thread I am involved in: sage only needs rank 4 to get 5.0 interval with claws and fists. (Though is still expensive...)

    Yeah true! You just need a 160-200 mil interval tome b:sweat But the 25% reduction you get with sage spark totally makes up for the fact that you're using low lvl top.

    I tanked loads of 3-3 bosses with claws in lvl 60 top when i was sage without dying somehow lol

    Demon archer only need 3.33 base tho. Just need Rank 4 top and some 99 gear for 5.0, nice alternative for poor archers XD

    If you shop carefully you can get tomes cheaper than that. But they are annoyingly expensive.
