? WTF ?! Patch Corrupted?

Not sure if this is the right thread or not (sorry), but why is it I cannot update this new patch? It keeps saying it's corrupted and I've tried to manually install patches already but they just give me the same thing.

    I already tried that manually and it keeps coming up corrupted on one of the files. And all it does is say would you like to restart when restarting does absoultely nothing.

    Will uninstalling the game make me lose my current characters on the server's?????

    So if I reinstall the game my characters "should" still be on their server's?

    Correct. All that information is stored server-side, not client-side. So you reinstalling your client won't delete any progress you achieved.

    To the OP: You don't need to reinstall, just try the automatic patch after the manual patch fails.

    And speaking of that, I downloaded the manual patch from here three times now, and each time the file was different. This tells me that there is something wrong with the fileserver.

    This is a potentially serious problem that needs to be looked into.

    Also, the patches from PWI's download site didn't match the patch I downloaded from the Filefront mirror or the patch I got from the Filefactory mirror, though those two files did match each other. This tells me that the version from the mirrors are probably OK, however the one from PWI is corrupt.

    Finally, the Installation and patching issues and mirrors - Version 390 thread links to the current patch on PWI's website incorrectly. It says "ec_patch_360-390.cup" instead of "ec_patch_369-390.cup", so that needs to be fixed as well.

    Yes!!! I uninstalled as well and tried to reinstall but the files are all corrupt and now I have no clue how to reinstall!!!

    It probably won't reinstall because the new patches were updated with the "Download" link, and this problem is getting to be a bit of a pain, Why would they make a patch that does not work?

    They didn't make a patch that doesn't work, the problem is that the fileserver isn't sending the manual patch properly. As I stated earlier, just do the automatic patch and you'll be fine. The mirrors may also work for getting the manual patch, though I haven't tested the patch from them.

    I've tried to manually patch them 4 times already and still just says corrupt files. Im not sure what the problem is. Is it my .dll????

    Did you read anything I wrote above?

    Stop trying to patch manually, the files from PWI are corrupted. Use the automatic patch!
