2x Exp - Where are you training at?

Yay, my 2nd week of playing, I'm getting use to it, and I heard that tomorrow's the 2x EXP and Spirit event! This'll be my first! I'm currently level 45, did the tideborn quests so 40 to 45 was a breeze. Got a lot of quests under " Find Quests" so I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Going through them one by one I guess. That's what I was going to do but I wanna hear your opinion, is the event worth it to grind? What are you going to do during this event?

What are some good places to grind at level 45?
I caught a marksman recently and want to train it, my sawfly and glacial are both 5 levels under my level. Might be a good time to farm fruit as well? I need like 41 more to get another slot :D.

Your two cents? What are you going to?

    hmmmmmm... 45... well, perhaps you can try Dawns Cry Isle, theres a nice load of mobs there, but theyre in the 50s so im no sure if it would be too challenging. if it is, probably somewhere near sumor camp. but id say dawn cry is the perfect place.

    id like to know whats good for 85+ WITHOUT hypers ... as im kinda broke atm lol. im guessing FC still but im not sure if its worth going w/o hypers? if not then where?

    I hated the first 2x "event" they had when I started playing because I kept out-leveling my quests. The quests are turned to give you something hard, but not too difficult, to kill. Once I'd gotten about 2-3 levels beyond the range for the quest because of 2x exp, the mob kill quests became too easy for me to have fun. So if you're the type who enjoys a challenge, 2x exp may not be to your liking.

    I ended up "solving" it by completing the quests but not turning them in. Once I hit a dry patch of quests (high 30s at the time, but this was before CS and BH), I turned them all in to help me through without grinding so much.
    What are some good places to grind at level 45?

    Best place to level up land pets is in Cube room 4. It's especially easy with a ranged pet like a marksman (make sure you turn its skills off).

    Good place to grind to level up an air pet in the 40-50 range is just above Hidden Heroes Village (SE of Etherblade). The Vipions there are level 50, non-aggro, and drop good loot including fruit. If you ever get in trouble, just stow your flyer and you'll drop safely to the ground. Which also happens to be where the town and shop are at. Very convenient.

    Once you're past 50, you can shift a bit north to the Foxwings.

    Hmm, I think you should just do your quests first. You'll get the 2x exp from the mobs you gotta kill, won't be THAT different. And that way you won't be faced with an overwhelming list of like 50 quests (been there, done that, never again lol)

    Yah, i had a quest on vipions, "assault" i think it was. Got 9 fruits for killing 40.
    I guess I should just quest then? I just want to level as fast as poosible but of course having fun at the same time. Leveling fast so I can experience more of the game of course.
    Thanks for the advice, also I wonder how the marksman as ranged attacks? It looks like a ape...with a piggish face?haha.

    I train sawfly at staunch worms and it worked great, where is cube room 4 located and how hard is it? Can I also train glacial there? as well as a dark wanderer? I stopped training dark wanderer around 31 cause I didn't have time for it.

    lucky! i think i got two or three fruit out of that quest.

    the marksman is great as a puller and light-duty tanker. to pull, turn off its default skill before you send it; it'll stop a fair bit short of its target and do a pretty easy-to-spot attack animation before it... throws a rock? i think it is.

    as usual, you can unsummon as soon as you see that animation. because it stops short, there's less risk it'll be attacked through getting too close to something. when you re-summon it, it'll have bash back for its default skill and you can just click pierce to send it off and catch what you pulled with it.

    if you're fighting mobs that have a ranged attack of their own, also turn off the skills and let the marksman use its ranged attack on them. they'll stop a little bit apart and do their ranged fighting, and nobody will get kited anywhere. the ranged mobs only run away if something gets close to them, and the marksman in no-skills mode won't get close.

    I used that room to level a pet not so long ago and it's really easy. So you go to the Cube of fate and try to get into room4. Once you're there you'll see floating stone-like objects. In Hotkeys assign Venomous scarab to A (if Azerty keyboard, use Q if it's a Qwerty one). Now all you have to do is go near a group of those stones, you don't even have to move just spam Tab-A. They won't attack you and they die in 1 hit. Once everything around you is dead move to another group. Your pet will level really quickly this way, your character won't gain almost nothing though. Try to go to that room when there's not a lot of people online, there was up to 4 venos leveling their pet while I was there.

    Since I'm on Raging Tide, I might have a chance :D.
    Where exactly is Cube of Fate?

    Cube of fate you enter through the Khatu Pup in any of the major cities. You'll need to take the Duty Badge quest first (as u need that to start the cube) then enter the cube with the 2nd quest. You'll need to have dice tickets as well you can buy those from cat shops in the cube or trade mirages for them at the forge in the center...

    Entering room 4 is random luck by the roll of the die. There is under the quests section of the forums an entire explaination on the cube and how to use it :) check it out.

    You can also use the cube as a "free transport" back to Arch. Find the Exit Herc and you will always exit in northeast Arch. Khatu Pups are available in every major city...Etherblade, Lost City, Plume, Arch, Dreamweaver Port, Raging Tides, Thousand Streams.

    I've been trying. I'm stuck in room 2, the guy won't give me a quest... and I get my cube back when i enter the room....This is the 2nd time, I used the town portal the first time i got stuck....
    Hwo do you exit a room?

    finalyl in room 4. 15 exp each kill. Not bad :P but needs 1000+ exp a level
    Finished leveling marksman and glacial, was pretty fast, went to staunch worms to level sawfly, meh really slow so I gave up, questing now :P.

    yep, same as always. one of the few parts of the game that oddly never scale with anything, your pets always get 15 XP per kill. room 4 simply makes it easier and quicker to get those kills, that's all.

    Yea, sometimes you end up unlucky. I suggest going into the room with lots of pets that need to be leveled at once or just logging off there, so you won't have to waste too much money trying to get in again if you are unlucky.

    I make sure my pets are 5 levels below me all the time before I try to get them to my level since it's hard for my pets to catch up with the way I level right now. b:surrender
