Greetings!


Nefarious recently has been made aware of particular players in the game that are posing as catshops, alts, or anything aside from their true selves badgering and harassing other players to join us. I have written this to officially confirm that myself and the members of Nefarious are in no way shape or form tied or affiliated with these people in any capacity. We do not condone or practice any type of harassment or badgering tactics in our Recruitment Team or elsewhere. If you see something like this I would encourage you to take screenshots and forward it to Perfect World International under harassment and such through the trouble ticket system. Again, lets be clear. Nefarious, is not tied, affiliated, or practicing of anything in relation to these people and their tactics for recruiting members to Nefarious. All recruitment is officially done by the Nefarious Recruitment Team. I apologize on behalf of Nefarious, if any of your members have been affected by these people.

    Glad to know this.
    A lot of people in Enelysion were getting harassed and told that Nefarious would get them TT99 gear and whatnot.

    Though one question, is it possible someone in Nefarious is doing it undercover? Like maybe someone is making these characters and PM'ing other people without anyone knowing?

    My thought too Bwanden.
    It's all very well that you might not condone it in any way, shape or form, Heaven. But theres a good chance theres someone in Nef who are doing it on their own accord, as not everyone may have the same ideas as you. That or someone from another faction trying to make a bad (Worse? lol) name for Nef.

    I have been pm'd by one "catshop" name trying to recruit me to Nef.

    Believe me I wish I knew who. Banishment isn't good enough for them. But everyone that has told me about him I've told SS it and send it to PWI. Hopefully, PWI will see it is such and take action.

    I'm pretty sure Neffies wouldn't want to ruin their reputation. I mean, why would someone stay in Nef if someone first promised TT99 set to them and when they asked where is that they'd get told that someone was kidding? I know I'd leave right after hearing that.

    Good luck trying to get rid of that kind of messages. I will tell people to report those users who do that.

    I'm not sure who promised what. But unless it was promised by me it wasn't valid. Like I said I'm sorry these things happen and I do not wish any harassment on any members or players. So hopefully, with enough SSs sent to PWI they will banish this person permanently. Again, I'm sorry you all have to deal with this. There is a possibility that it is a Neffie that is doing it but unfortunately it's very hard to track this person. So all I can say is we will do our due diligence and investigate internally and those affected outside of Nefarious, please keep the SSs going to PWI. Have a good week folks :)

    I believe some members of Amplified have had similar encounters. Can't say anyone it has happened to anyone in Legendary, unless I was not told about it *__*

    unless people are being verbally abused in these pms, the GMs arent going to care. as for people in amp being asked to join nef... theres only one i can think of off the top of my head, and that was most certainly not a "fake recruitment" (or a fake char either). so no, it's not happening in amp. the only guild i had actually heard this happening to was enely.

    Unfortunately, we just gotta learn to deal and move on, cause it's tough ****. It's well beyond anyone's control other than the GM's to identify and discipline these sorts of players that go on level 1 alts to harass you. It's never gonna stop. I personally have given up bothering since all it takes is 5 minutes to create another level 1 character that will harass me about stealing / charging to get my gears. Not worth the effort imo, just blacklist. b:laugh

    People do things to get reactions. Keep a level head; don't give them the reaction they desire and they'll see they've failed to troll you, and go on to the next person to troll.

    If they are alts intended for trolling/harassing others then you would think the people behind them would be smart enough to not link them to a PWE profile... you would think... *_*

    You'd think so.

    My suggestion would be is for every one of Nefarious' members to screenshot their character list. That way, if someone had one of the harassing characters on there account, we'd know who it is.

    I have high doubts that it is someone from Nef. It's only Enelysion that seems to really get harassed. Also on top of that people have multiple accounts and who will risk getting their main banned?

    sucks to get harassed to join with fake alts. =( It might suck even more if its other officers lol. But the good thing is they are loyal and tell u and thats all that matters doesnt it? the rest u can brush off and laugh at their futile attempts.

    Actually I have friends in other factions (Amplified, Regicide, Legendary, etc) that have gotten harassed by __DEALS__ and afk_shop and others as well. It's not just Enelysion.

    sounds like someone(or people) just trying to mess with others give em false excitement that they are going to get great gear. Some may be gullible and believe it and end up disappointed and factionless
