Depends if you had tokens of luck next to tokens of best luck in a confusing manner(which by your post, you did not unless I'm misunderstanding) Even if you did, it was just an accident, people make that mistake a lot. And like Rose said, it's rare anyone gets banned for this.

EDIT: No that guy was just blowing smoke. Nothings gonna happen, you're fine.

Translation: "Will I get banned if I were to scam people into making them buy 'cheap' Best Luck Tokens when they're really normal Tokens of Luck?"

Whether scamming was your true intention or not, players can still report you because it still appears shady and there is a chance you will get banned, especially if enough people report you. Sometimes GMs can be lazy and won't really do anything.

Your fine. The guy was just blowing smoke. Just forget about it and continue playing the game.

But do try not to make the same mistake again, cuz as Alenta said it still appears shady and if you get reported enough you could get banned.

I read the OP exactly the same way.

Another favourite of mine are people who demand to know what the Devs/GMs are doing to catch people who are exploiting a particular ****/cheat, under the pretense of wanting to make sure the game is fair, of course. Then a couple of weeks later, surprise surprise, they get exposed as being one of the ones who was exploiting the ****/cheat.

Stop lying, you tried to scam.

P.S. It can be bannable, depending on who you're dealing with, sometimes it's a buyer beware thing.

I know who you are and what server you're in (though I won't go through the trouble to disclose it).
I saw you sold a token of luck for 4 million if I was not mistaken.
People had been trying to tell you that it didn't worth that much but you paid no heed to it.
Your victim is one of my best friend and thanks to you, he's pretty mad at his loss.

If that's not a scam, then somebody do tell me what it was.

What a lovely tone i hear in your statement, my suggestion if its really your friend that was the unlucky one (don't be trying to get free money you wrench!) then arrange it for your friend and the op to meet and trade back the iteams/money.

Scammers are scammers but people who fall for it are as much to blame...it's really not that hard to check the item you are paying millions for before making the purchase.

What Ranfa said, if your initial intention was not to scam and made a mistake, it's not really your fault. And even if you did want to intentionally scam someone, it is their fault for not double checking the item.

Thanks a lot for the input. However, I doubt he'll want to trade the money back.
Point is, he might get scammed by other people (assuming that he really didn't mean to scam).
And I could also see the upcoming doubt that will haunt him when he meet my friend.
After all, my friend is a complete stranger to him and doesn't have any concrete "bill" to prove that he bought a token of luck from OP.
Scammers are scammers but people who fall for it are as much to blame...it's really not that hard to check the item you are paying millions for before making the purchase.
In the case that OP didn't mean to scam, this is an acceptable point of view.
But then again, people make mistake. Not to mention, my friend is new to this game.
After all, people told OP that's overpriced. Fyi, he sold it at west banker where people gathered around.

    To OP:
I'm not here to pass you any judgement or whatsoever.
However, at least an apology is much deserved by your victim, regardless you did it on purpose or not.

If you would put the average price for a token of best luck, it would not be a mistake... Thus it would be a scam attempt. The huge, fatal mistake on your part would be to have been hasty.

And I wonder why you would put only ONE token of luck for sale. You surely split it, if I follow your logic; but that would only work if I consider you had several tokens of best luck... Which is debatable.
But still, if the latter case is considered, that should be one more reason to be even more careful, hmmm?

You want to sell stuff, but you don't even look carefully what your goods may be. What if you did the inverse, huh?

That story of yours sounds very odd, very fishy.

What you're implying is that Perfect World could have a Justice System. As much as the community would love this, it's simply too much to ask for the GMs to settle every civil dispute and could never be done alongside their other duties. PW would have to hire more people specifically for the sake of settling these disputes, and it'd hardly profit them at all. So no, I sincerely doubt ANYONE gets slammed for scamming unless if they make a huge habit out of it so that it's an obvious enough of a scam that the GM can immediately say "guilty" and ban the person.

Having said that, small claims court might hear him out, if he's willing to sue you for what's basically one US dollar.

I fear you made a hasty conclusion here. Do you think that common sense and the appropriate punishment of evildoers are not taken into account for such issues? They are GMs after all.

I feel the OP tried/succeeded in scamming. Buyer beware! I bought a best luck token today for 4.5 million, I held my cursor over it several times before I bought it. I made sure it was what it appeared to be.

Better be safe than sorry indeed. I would do the same, especially because it's a huge value that is in play.

GMs have stated before that if they are intentionally misrepresenting an item and are trying to sell it as such, to submit a ticket. One ticket may not get you a ban, but if several people submit a ticket on such a seller, they might. I'm not sure if anyone has actually been banned for it though.

Gotta agree with Lesthar, unless some weird coincidence had them have exactly one best luck token and one token of luck, it was a deliberate scam attempt. Combine that with the lowered price for sale, and this post seems like a very bad attempt at dodging a punishment.

Did he truly have intent to scam? It hard to say without more data, which GM's are privy to. If you feel you've been scammed by a cat shop, definitely send in a ticket, ideally with a screen shot attached.

Also, we've put in a request for the devs to differentiate the token icons, so thanks for that suggestion :)

It is very unlikely to accidentally sell a single token as a best luck token.

A single token buys absolutely nothing from the boutique agent and packs give out 15 tokens at a time. To take a single token from a stack of tokens and attempt to sell that single token as a "cheap" best token requires willful effort of deception which should get you banned.

you can aculy sell a token for what ever price you want i belive that it becomes a scam when you say selling best luck (in a chat advertisement or shop name) and its actualy a normal token but they should definately look significantly different. >_> the other day i almost sold a GBA for the price of a chin's plate cuz i wasnt paying attention to the mat i had grabbed glad i caught it lol

Unless that one token was already separated when you wanted, say, to buy a stack of tokens with your catshop but nobody sold you anything. Highly unlikely though.

Glad to see that GM still care about players.
I talked to my friend and he said he'd let it go for this time (ofc we had a small 'debate' there and I lost b:surrender)

Anyway, this being said, hopefully fellow buyers could be more aware when purchasing items.
