I really have no idea how to face them in PvP w/o being a high lvled barb..... unless u get the first hit i guess but still b:faint ..... they should be nurfed *cough cough* but im sure im not the first to say that, but i guess thats part of the supposed theme of them adding serious offence while we add serious defence to pvp theme. Question time! what lvl would it be possible for SoS to reflect a 5 or 6 sec stun to a sin? Then would be the only time i could think of to be able to defend yourself from a sin IF you see them coming

<.< The only Assassins you could ever kill are the ones you manage to sneak up on, or the ones that have sh~t stealth levels. Other than that, always remember that, while traveling...barriers are you friend.

I believe there's a thread about how to kill assassins while stealthed around here somewhere, though.

If you're not grinding or doing something that requires a good attack strength (i.e. World Quest, just chilling outside the SZ, etc) Make sure you have white voodoo on, and spam SoR every time it cools down. If you get paranoid you can even shoot off an Aqua Cannon if there's a nearby animal / low level mob.

Considering most Sins start a fight with a stun out of stealth, they'll end up stunning themselves half the time. If not, SoR and White Voodoo will absorb a lot of the incoming blow and give you time to hit Psychic Will and switch to Black Voodoo. When Psychic will is about to wear out, stun with Earth Vector for some added safety time.

Assassins may be able to kill quickly, but they're squishy as all hell from magic attacks. I can generally 2-3 shot sins around my level on /\bra.

I know it can be very frustrating to fight a sin.

As a Psychic you must always have different strategies running through your head in order to dismantle different classes that are attacking you.
Were all a sin has to do is catch you with your pants down stun, and auto attack to win.

Now since were such a squishy class there is always going to be those monuments when we can't be completely prepared and well die quickly, just try not to let it bother you.

Some things that can help is to make sure and have SoR up at all times. I'll actually be casting this on every cooldown even in arch sometimes. b:chuckle

Next if you know a sin is near jump into your White voodoo right away. Makes sure your fully buffed with Vengeance Silence and empowered all max rank as well.
Next have a genie on you that knows either Absolute domain or Expel.

The final thing I recommend is to keep the sin surprised. Have you ever noticed as soon as you spook a sin they hit there little vanish to run or regroup themselves? Use this to your advantage.

I usually will use a Tide spirit combo of Disturb Soul Soulburn then Bubble of life. This gives me a solid offensive and defensive hold on the fight. And disturb soul. is one of the most underrated spells psys have. Using on a sin will disrupt a ton of there attacks and also make using shadow escape a long drawn out process of pain. b:laugh

Hope this stuff helps you guys!

They get easier as you level higher. On the other hand, axe BM's become harder to beat.

Just keep in mind that your soulforce continues to go up as you level. That means SoR defends you better (and hurts them more) and SoS lasts longer. You're also more likely to start mixing SoR with SoS as you level up, which can be confusing for the sin.

Sins don't have very good damage per hit. The only skills they have with good DPH ALL have ailments on them. The one weakness of having so many ailments is it means there's not a damn thing the sin can hit you with when you have SoR, other than basic melee. If he does anything else, he'll only hurt himself. Forcing the sin to melee means you've bought enough time to Psy Will. Once Psy will'd, there's not a damn thing he can do and you can kill him in 1-2 shots.

Sin's damage also doesn't increase as much as player HP at higher levels. At high levels, everyone starts sharding gear, refining it and getting TT90/TT99 gear, so your HP gets a sudden boost whereas sin damage is still the same. That's another thing that helps you buy enough time to Psy will.

He speaks the truth. It really is all about the psychic Will timing.

Still love using maxed Disturb soul on a sin though and killing him IN white voodoo before he can vanish.

Btw edited my above post. I put Diminished vigor instead of disturb soul lol.

    All fixed now. ^^

    all this guy said.

Although i do prefer to use SoS against sins since with white voodoo they dont hurt too much especially if im fully buffed

IMO psy is the best sin killer.
Sins are Scissors. Psychics are Rocks.
Archers, Venos, Barbs, Wizards, BMs, Mystics, Seekers are Paper.
    ...and Clerics are Mushrooms.
Paper beats Rock. Scissors beats Paper. Scissors also happens to beat Rock...until Rock gets 50k+ soulforce at which point Rock becomes an unstoppable killing machine that beats Paper... and would beat Scissors but it can't find Scissors, because Scissors are invisible.
So Scissors beat Paper and avoids Rock, and that is called BALANCE. -cheze

    100+ with decent refines.

    100 with no refines = 13k soulforce = 3 seconds

15k Soulforce from level 100 alone. The rest has to be built up with refines. If you get a weapon to +12, for example, then it's 30k soulforce. 30k soulforce for a Sage Psy would be 8 second stun. Other than that, 15k = 4 seconds for a Sage Psy, which can easily be built up to 5 seconds if you manage 16k with a couple refines. Afterwards you start needing money though.
