How do you if you're talking to a real GM?

Any distinctions? Glowing name, uber obvious title?

Because just now one claiming to be a GM whispered me about giving him a cash shop item of 20 gold and i'll get 10 gold back for free from some "competition". As I've never met one, or seen a screenshot of one, and the style of grammar, I simply "was not interested". Also my days of ---- and it's RMT battles, I turn down any suspicious "request".

    When they talk to you it looks like..

    GM whispers: What is the issue you are having?...

    in your chat window.

    It says GM for the character and it's red. afterwards they will usually squad you and then you'll see what specific GM you've gotten. I think i have a screenie somewhere from when BearClawRawr talked to me once. I'll see if I can find it to post.

    In whispers they're always called GM.

    like:

    GM whispers: blablabla

    You can recognize GM characters ingame by the ★GM tag they have next to their name.

    GMs will NEVER make weird offers like this one. It was an obvious scam... You've done well.
    Well, if I have to interact with one, I would be formal.

    Btw, did you screenshot the whole thing? If you did, you could report the dude for GM impersonating.

    Check the Support button on top of this page, then in the page that appears, go for 'My Support'. Log in, then click on 'Request Support', then fill the form in, while not forgetting to attach your pic (have it in .jpg) then send it.

    Alternatively you can PM me the name of the scammer. Issues like these need to get escalated quickly to minimize the damage.
