When i was fighting monsters in the swamp of the wraiths, i found out i was hitting 1900 on one monster but only 900 on the other, both of them are just normal, not buffed. Is this normal or it's just me?

Some puddles in the swap cause you to swim slightly causing the 50% water-to-land reduction to kick in.

I'm fighting those ravaging yayan, and i hit 900 and some 1900. I'm just standing on the water, not swimming, does that count lowing my damage also?

Ankle-high water still somehow counts as water, which is why every hates the Swamps. It can even desummon Veno pets. Its kind of a bad terrain calculation on PWEs part.

Said it in the last thread that brought it up, and I'll say it again here:
Fish damage nerfed in water is just hilariously ironic.

Now that you mention it, it is pretty funny that the last few times this was brought up by TB characters. b:chuckle

Actually the beauty of it, I think, is that it was done on purpose.

If not, they should have done it on purpose. b:surrender

If it was done on purpose, my veno would like to have words with whoever made that decision. My archer never struggled in Swamps, range is awesome.

I can't count the number of times my veno's pet ended up desummoning itself and causing me trouble. >.>"

I would have done the same, but I was a real dunce and had never bothered to level my Sawfly (which has since been replaced by the skymanta watchamabob, and yes I am that technical in real life) so I was kind of stuck.

Remember, folks: level all your pets. It pays off. ._.

I don't want to burst your bubble, but sawflies unsummon themselves in the swamp too... I was a victim of it. b:surrender

If I am right. If I am right; any pet will desummon itself when you're in an area the game perceives to be "water" (obviously not including water pets folks but you're not about to summon a turtle in ankle-high water). So, areas where your damage is decreased, etc, etc. The fact is however, when you fight in the swamps with your air pet, you also stay in the air. You do take a damage decrease yourself, but your pet doesn't, and it will never end up unsummoned because you never have to wade through ankle-high water that apparently treats you as if you were completely submerged.

You're right, because the unsummoning thing works in a completely backwards way. If I stand on land, my land pet will happily wade into the water to attack whatever I send it to. On the other hand, if I go into the water and leave my pet standing on the shore, it will unsummon.

And this can be abused to a ridiculously silly extent in OHT where you can stand on the land, send your land pet to attack something underwater, and your pet will rush off to kill whatever it is you just sent it to attack while completely ignoring the fact that it's supposed to be a land pet.

So I had this hilarious mental image of a veno desperately trying to convince her turtle to attack while it flops helplessly around on its useless flippers. lol

That is right, but does it not involve slower kills and a bigger usage of MP?
Quite the dilemma between safe and slow (if your pet does not get ganked at, naturally) and much faster but also more dangerous for the veno... b:surrender

I am so glad my main veno does not have to go through this hell anymore.
