THIS IS NOT A SUGGESTION, MOVE IT BACK TO GENERAL PLEASE

Not a consideration for if the GMs should do this... but how about this for a social experiment.

Due to the un-fairness of some people having weddings in the cut-throat** (Thanks hamster) market place the GMs, as an act of benevolence give the players a chance to re-marry by giving each player who is currently married a non-trade able marriage pack allowing them to "remarry" so to speak.

Kicker: The player may re-marry or choose to marry the same person.

Do you think people will re-marry more, or choose someone else?

    Ya, fixed the typo and thats what the GMs claim is one of the incentives for having this nice chapel, so people don't get hitched in what might resemble the New York Stock Exchange... though to be honest that place might be more of a ghost town right now

    Seeing how the only reason to marry someone else be if the relationship went down already, and they did it just for the MQ, and they hadn't already divorced already.

    I personally think that many people will re-marry because a major incentive for most people to stay married is probably because they are already married. The effect of course is created by the money they spent for packs. I wonder what would happen if that were removed.

    Oh man, I wish I were a Psych major now T^T I think PWi HQ is in Cali, I would have my University's psych dept. write PWi a letter asking them to do it as a social experiment.

    Yep they be located in California.
    And me has spent the last few months living inside their servers. (They actually be quite roomy in places.)

    Well, if you be married and has been doing MQ with the same person for months and know they be reliableish enough then they'll probably stick with them.

    Umm.... NO. That's not even right. When new features come out the manufacturer or service provider is not obligated to give you something new for free. That kinda defeats the purpose. They create something new so it will spur sales and cover the cost of development.

    You bought a new car last year, but this year it has a nicer interior, you can't just take it back and say you should have the new one for free.

    It's just pixels, Dark. It's a free software update, not a new car.

    It wouldn't cost PWI anything to auto-send all married couples a "renew your vows" coupon to people who were married in the median of the Interstate Highway (West Arch). You wouldn't do it for people married from this point on - just those who are currently married.

    It would be an in-expensive goodwill gesture that wouldn't hurt anyones revenue stream.

    Then again... when one plays PWI with their RL fiancee, "remarry" doesn't really come into play. :P But I'd support this just to use the big-**** chapel thing, just to say I did.

    You can keep your fancy church... I did not get married because I am madly in love with my in game wife. I did not see it as a real marrige I seen it as an investment to get more exp and some nice items. While my ingame wife is a very good friend now and the wedding bought us closer we know that it is virtual and not real(In fact her irl husband plays to and he knows there is no danger of us).

    I personally don't like this aspect of the game and think it can be dangerous in some circumstances if someone is lonely and depressed they can start to take it way to serious and it escalates in to an issue from there.... So many already take MQ serious your just encouraging them to take it more seriously...

    While a part of the community will love this I see it for what it actually is and that's encouraging people to re marry or to marry for the first time.... Would of personally preferred you to put these efforts in something more constructive.

    Same for me. I think a lot of people who are married in game and irl would like to remarry if it was free, but I know a lot of people marry just for MQ, and wouldn't want to.
    I think the chapel thing is cute, but I'd only want to remarry if it was free. $60 is a lot for something like that. ._.

    Yeah if your married irl I understand just the people who are not and think they are if you get my drift... I call my ig wife wifey and joke and mess with her but thats as far as it goes... we are not gonna elope to meet each other we are just two freinds gaining nice exp from minimal effort.
