Auction House?
Ok I'm very new to this game obviously (level 12), and I'm having a hard time figuring some stuff out. First of all, is there an auction house in this game where I can buy items straight from other players easily? That would help me alot because I'm not getting very far on the manufacturing thing haha. The equipment it lets me make is the same stuff the guy sells so I've concluded manufacturing is not for me.

Genie?
Also I really don't want my genie I've never been the mmo player that runs with a companion and I don't feel like starting. Do genies sell? Do most people that run without genies suck? Lol I don't want to get into the game and realize I have to either play with a genie or suck at the game.

Edit Appearance?
And finally I would like to ask how I change my appearance? I've seen a thread that says you can change your appearance within the first 48 hours of character creation. I've had this character a good 10 hours and he looks like a woman... There was a link that took me to forum avatar changing on the post and that's not what I'm looking for btw lol.

PLEASE post up some answers if you know them, don't be stingy with your knowledge lmao.

    There's one in every city, you can access it by going to an NPC called "Auctioneer".

    Genie:
    Depending on lucky points (you get a random number up to 10 every ten genie levels), they can sell for anywhere between 50k to the millions. Can't tell you much about how much they are needed at the higher end of the game since I'm only a lv64, but currently, I don't use my genie very often, and I'm able to play this game without much problem. For now at least.

    Edit appearance:
    Go to the login screen, and select the character you want to change (as long as it's within 2 days). Then click on "Modify". And if you've had a character for more than 2 days, you can change using a Makeover Scroll. You can get one for free from a lv28 quest (untradable) or you can get some from the boutique.

    the equipment you can manufacture is not the same as the stuff you buy from NPCs. NPC-bought armor and weapons are basic, no-frills stuff; no added stats, no extra bonuses, base-level reliability, attack, and defenses. stuff you craft can have up to three different bonus stats and additions, picked at random.

    granted, sometimes --- often, even --- you'll end up crafting armor with only three elemental defenses compared to all five, which you're (nearly?) guaranteed to get from the NPC armor. then again, those will decompose for many more chi stones than the barebones NPC-bought stuff, so it's not a total loss.

    genies: i put HP-recovery and enemy-slowing skills on mine. they've saved my butt a couple times, although i use them so rarely in regular play i tend to forget they're there when i really need them. they're not absolutely necessary, certainly not at my level, but they can be neat tools. and do think of them as tools, not companions; they're an extra reserve of magical skills even non-casters can use in a tight spot, nothing more. same way a veno's pet isn't really a family member with fur, just an in-game weapon with a really long range.

    Ok, thanks alot guys (: . My character doesn't look like a woman anymore and now I guess I'll go make stuff instead of selling all these mats in my catshop haha.
